Arrive in Phu My port outside Ho Chi Minh City at 7am and disembark after breakfast for 12 hours of Vietnamese immersion. Take a shuttle into the city and discover where sleek skyscrapers rise above incense-filled temples and French colonial architecture lines bustling boulevards.
Visit the moving War Remnants Museum, which offers poignant insight into Vietnam’s modern history, and admire the soaring twin bell towers of Notre Dame Cathedral, built during French colonial rule. Continue to the elegant Central Post Office, designed by Gustave Eiffel, and pass the grand Opera House and ornate City Hall. Step inside the Reunification Palace, where tanks famously stormed the gates in 1975, marking the end of the Vietnam War.

Today is yours to explore this high-energy metropolis, where ancient temples hide between designer boutiques and Michelin-starred dining sits alongside beloved street-food stalls.
After breakfast on board, step ashore and head straight for Victoria Peak via the historic Peak Tram or descend into the city’s central district where skyscrapers neighbour colonial-era architecture. Venture across the harbour to Tsim Sha Tsui aboard the Star Ferry and savour a lively lunch on the streets of Kowloon.

This morning, Keelung appears on the horizon, your gateway to Taipei. This land where forested mountains meets a bustling harbour invites you to discover Taiwan’s rich traditions and scenic beauty, just a short drive from the port.
After breakfast on board, journey into Taipei to visit the revered Longshan Temple, an 18th-century masterpiece where incense lingers beneath ornate, dragon-carved roofs. Continue into the hills to Jiufen Old Street, a former gold-mining town perched above the sea. Wander its lantern-lined lanes, browse quaint teahouses and pause for a comforting bowl of fish ball soup with vermicelli noodles as you take in sweeping bay views.
Return to the ship by late afternoon before sailing onwards.
