The Standard, Maldives is located on Huruvalhi private island, approximately a 35-minute seaplane transfer from Malé Airport (MLE). With a pristine house reef and incredible opportunities for snorkelling, diving and swimming in the lagoon, this is quintessential Maldives bliss.
Roundtrip seaplane transfers are included in your package. International arrivals must arrive at Malé airport no later than 3pm and departure flights must depart Malé airport no earlier than 9.30am. Flight details (international arrival and departure flight numbers) must be provided to the resort at least 7 days prior to arrival in order to ensure smooth transfers. 7-Day Change of Mind ‘No Questions Asked’ Refund Guarantee: Things don’t always work out. Our 7-day Change of Mind Guarantee is there to help. Bookings (except for cruise bookings and flights) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days prior to the check-in date.
Date Changes: If you need to amend your booking, you can self-service unlimited date changes in your ‘My Escapes’ account up until 21 days before your original check-in date. If you can’t find a suitable date, or still need further assistance, please contact our 24/7 customer service team. Subject to availability and surcharges.

- All-inclusive meal plan is valid for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Kula only. All-inclusive guests will receive a US$50 nightly dine-around credit per adult guest, which is valid on a la carte dinner at Guduguda or BBQ Shak. All-inclusive includes a select beverage menu and select items from the minibar.
- Spa discount is on single-service treatments only.
Seaplane Transfers:
- International arrivals must arrive at Malé airport no later than 3pm and departure flights must depart Malé airport no earlier than 9.30am. Details submitted after this time may result in longer waiting times at the airport for transfers, or no availability of seats.
- Trans Maldivian Airways ‘TMA’ provides seaplane transfers to/from the TMA Terminal at the Velana International Airport ‘VIA’ to connect with the arrival/departure of international flights. The seaplane transfer time from the TMA Terminal to The Standard is about 35 minutes, sometimes more when there are other resort stops along the way.
- International arrivals must arrive no later than 3pm and departures must depart no earlier than 9.30am. Flight details (international arrival and departure flight numbers) must be provided to the resort at least 7 days prior to arrival in order to ensure smooth transfers. Details submitted after this time may result in longer waiting times at the airport for transfers, or no availability of seats.
- Upon arrival, after clearing Maldives immigration, customs and baggage collection, you will exit into the Arrivals Hall and be greeted by a resort representative, who will assist with the check-in at the TMA counter for your seaplane to The Standard. Seaplane departures are usually within one hour after all guests clear immigration and customs. In rare instances, such as flight delays, long lines at immigration/baggage claim or bad weather, the wait may be longer.
- Guests arriving on an international flight that cannot connect to the last seaplane of the day may choose to overnight in a nearby Malé hotel or opt for the late-night domestic transfer option. These options will be at guest’s own expense.
- The allowance for checked-in luggage is 20kg and 5kg hand luggage per person; above which there is an excess charge of US$5.00 per kilo. In extraordinary circumstances, luggage may be transported by a later flight due to weight restrictions (policies and procedures as per TMA regulations).
- In rare instances, due to circumstances beyond the control of TMA and/or The Standard, such as unfavourable weather conditions, the seaplane may depart earlier/later than scheduled to/from The Standard, in which case, neither Luxury Escapes, TMA nor The Standard assume liability for any related expenses to the guests.
- Seaplanes operate year-round, during daylight only. In the event of inclement weather, which may result in halted or delayed seaplane operations for the day, guests may be required to stay in Malé one night (accommodation at guest’s own cost), and seaplane transfers will be arranged the following day.
