Innovative dishes grounded in local ingredients are on offer in the relaxed brasserie Ilkari Restaurant and Indigenous-inspired cocktail paradise Walpa Lobby Bar.

Make sure you rise early at least once during your stay to experience a sunrise like no other, as Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park ignites into a vision of red and orange. Spend your days as you wish: explore the unbelievable scenery, from the mighty Uluru towering nearly 350 metres above the desert floor, or simply relax by the pool of the resort and succumb to the secluded luxury of central Australia.

On one evening, partake in the unforgettable ‘Field of Light’ exhibition, crafted by artist Bruce Munro. The installation consists of over 50,000 spindles of light that create a rippling web of vibrant colour over the landscape, casting tones of deep magenta, cool blue and ephemeral white into the night.

Day 4: Darwin, Australia

Wake up bright and early to board the coach waiting to ferry you through the rugged landscape to Alice Springs Airport (ASP). Sit back, relax and enjoy the included flight to Darwin Airport (DRW).

On your arrival in the Northern Territory’s capital, take some time to settle in to your luxurious accommodation before spending the rest of the day at leisure in this unique tropical city. Day 5: Embark Silver Cloud

After breakfast at your lavish hotel, you will make your own way to board the waiting Silver Cloud for your luxury cruise. Your first day onboard will be spent at sea, providing the perfect opportunity to explore, relax and unwind. Day 7: Matakus Island, Indonesia

Today you will explore Matakus Island, part of Indonesia’s Tanimbar archipelago. A diminutive paradise just three kilometres long and a kilometre wide, the island features fine, white-sand beaches and abundant birdlife.

An included shore excursion is available for guests wanting to discover the island. Disembark the ship by Zodiac, and the villagers will welcome you ashore. Walk to the village centre and get acquainted with locals, and take time to wander around the village and observe the daily life of the village folk. There is ample time to enjoy the island at your leisure: set off snorkelling to take in the fields of staghorn coral and schools of cardinal fish very visible in its crystal clear waters, or lunch on delicious freshly caught and grilled fish from one of the local fishermen that line the shore.

Please Note: Total walking is approximately 800 metres (some of this over flat, paved surfaces). Guests are recommended to wear light, comfortable clothing, walking shoes, sun protection and hat.

Day 8: Day at Sea

Enjoy a leisurely day at sea as you cruise back towards Australia.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Accommodation: Silver Cloud

Day 9: Wyndham, Australia

Wyndham is a small settlement with the spirit of a Kimberley outback township. Established in 1886 with the Halls Creek gold rush, today Wyndham has a population of roughly 900 people and still operates as a port city. Located on the Cambridge Gulf, where several rivers converge, Wyndham is also a gateway to the peaceful, tree-lined Ord River.

An included cruise will take you gliding up the Ord River to Lake Kununurra, enjoying expert commentary and observing wildlife along the way. Stop for lunch with time to relax, before resuming the cruise in the heart of the Carlton Gorge, lined with the stunning red cliffs for which the Kimberley is famous. Arrive at the foot of the Ord Top Dam and discover how this amazing structure was designed, before transferring to the awaiting coach for a drive across the Ord Top Dam wall for a scenic view of Lake Argyle.

Visit the Lake Argyle Resort, the site of the original workers’ camp during the construction of the Ord Top Dam, and stop at the Argyle Homestead Museum. Sit back and relax for the scenic drive back to Kununurra and then onto Wyndham.

Please Note: Tour order may vary. There is a short walk off the boat to the lunch spot. There are six steps to navigate to reach the riverside camp, and another six steps to get to the bathroom facilities. There is also some short walking required through the Durack Homestead Museum and grounds, although this is at the guest’s discretion.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Accommodation: Silver Cloud

Day 10: King George River

Set off on an included Zodiac tour to King George Falls, one of the Kimberley’s most magnificent natural wonders. At 80 metres tall, the thundering spectacle of twin cascades is among the highest in Australia. Make sure your camera is charged, as you watch the river weave through an amazing landscape of near-vertical red rock formations and a parade of wildlife passes you by — including saltwater crocodiles and amazing birdlife.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Accommodation: Silver Cloud

Day 11 & 12: Hunter River Region

The Hunter River Region is home to an immense mangrove system surrounded by soaring red sandstone cliffs. Over the next two days, you’ll explore the narrow channels on two included tours: set off on a Zodiac cruise and then experience the landscapes up close on a hiking expedition. The environment provides shelter to numerous bird species, mudskippers, fiddler crabs and the infamous saltwater crocodile – the most aggressive crocodile species known to man. For those looking to explore some of the Kimberley’s vast interior, Naturalist Island at the mouth of the river has a stunning stretch of sandy beach that makes a perfect landing site for small helicopters.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Accommodation: Silver Cloud

Day 13 & 14: Buccaneer Archipelago Region

Savour this once-in-a-lifetime chance to explore the remote Buccaneer Archipelago Region on two included tours – by Zodiac cruise and on a hiking expedition. Here, roughly 800 islands surround and shelter the impressive spread of Yampi Sound (from the Aboriginal word for water, ‘Yampee’). Named in 1821 by Captain Phillip Parker King in commemoration of William Dampier’s visit in 1688, the area was first visited by pearlers in the late 1800s. Be sure to take the coastline of Yampi, which shows rock layers wildly twisting and contorting into great folds.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
