The Hotel — Old-world countryside charm
Originally built in 1887 and welcoming guests since 1909, Peppers Craigieburn Bowral has maintained much of its old-world charm and captivating heritage. Steeped in tradition, this pretty property is home to a private nine-hole golf course that boasts the original layout from 100 years ago and remains the site of the annual Hickory Cup Heritage Golf Tournament. Become a part of history with a round of golf for two or lessons to improve your swing (additional costs apply).
Wander the hotel’s vast grounds, filled with a plethora of luscious trees and plants, stretching green as far as the eye can see. In the summer, the kitchen can arrange a basket filled with tasty treats to be enjoyed as a picnic on the grass – the perfect way to refuel after a game of tennis on the lawn (additional costs apply).
Evenings are best spent at Hickory’s Restaurant and Bar, before retiring to relax in one of the guest lounges or play billiards in the dedicated billiards room.
