Getting to the Cook Islands is easy! Flights depart direct from Sydney (approx. duration of 6 hours) or via Auckland departing from Melbourne and Brisbane (approx. duration of 10 hours) with carriers such as Virgin Australia, Jetstar and also Air New Zealand.
Flights depart Sydney on a Friday night and arrive in Rarotonga on Friday morning - crossing the dateline. Depart Rarotonga on Thursday and arrive in Sydney the next day (Friday). All other departure points in Australia or departure days from Sydney need to travel via Auckland and an overnight stay might be required.
