Guests must transfer via floatplane to the property. Guests must contact the property at least 72 hours before travel, using the contact information on the confirmation received after booking. Front desk staff will greet guests on arrival at the property. For any questions, please contact the property using the information on the booking confirmation. Information provided by the property may be translated using automated translation tools. Guests must arrange transfers (surcharge) from Male International Airport to the property, which is 25 minutes away via seaplane. To guarantee transfers, guests must contact the property with their flight details at least 72 hours before their expected arrival. Daily transfer service is offered by Maldivian Air Taxi between 6 AM and 4 PM. Guests arriving or departing outside of these hours are advised to book a local hotel room in Male or Hulhumale. Luggage in excess of 20 kg/person may incur a fee, payable to the seaplane company during flight check-in. Guests must pay the seaplane fee at checkout. The additional fee (payable at the property) covers transfer fees for guests ages 12-17.

Update: 11th December 2024: As per the amendments to the Tourism Act issued by the Maldivian Government, applicable to all travellers arriving in the Maldives from 1 January 2025, the green tax payable by travellers upon arrival at hotels (including tourist resorts, tourist hotels, hotels, tourist guest houses, tourist vessels) has been increased from USD 6.00 to USD 12.00 per person per day.**

Seaplane Transfers:

  • The resort is located approximately a 25-minute seaplane flight from Velana International Airport (MLE). The resort can be reached by a seaplane transfer, available at an additional cost (payable directly to the resort).
  • Upon arrival, you will be greeted with a personalised welcome by OUTRIGGER hosts who will then escort you to the seaplane check-in counter and take you to a comfortable lounge to wait for your seaplane connection to Maafushivaru.
  • The transfer will be shared with other passengers and a short waiting time may be required.
  • All seaplane journeys are operated by Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) during daylight hours only as per aviation standard. To arrange seaplane transfers, your outbound flight must arrive in the Maldives between 6am and 3.30pm, and an inbound flight from the Maldives must depart between 9.15am and 11pm. To catch the last seaplane transfer for the day, the guests must be reported to the TMA check-in counter at the airport by 4pm at the latest. If you arrive later, you will be required to stay overnight in Malé. We recommend booking a hotel within proximity to the airport.
  • Seaplane reservations are only available for bookings made outside 72 hours, subject to tides, weather conditions and TMA’s terms and conditions.
  • The operator provides the resort with transfer schedules in the evening of each day for the arrivals and departures on the following day. As such, all schedule timings are solely at the discretion of the seaplane management.
  • Baggage restrictions: Each guest is allowed 20kg of checked luggage and 5kg of hand luggage. Any excess is subject to the additional fees to be paid directly to the seaplane operator.
  • Occasionally your flight may have a stop on route to drop off and pick up passengers at other resorts. The resort will endeavor to provide you with the most direct route, subject to availability and the required connecting time of your international flight, or onward transfer arrangements.
  • All transfer information is subject to change. Please contact the hotel directly to confirm transfer details before you depart for your escape.
