Head into Melaka, where rich history meets lively markets in this once-rich trading port. Explore the city’s UNESCO World Heritage-listed centre along with St Paul Hill and Porta de Santiago, then submerge yourself in the art, antiques, crafts and energy of bustling Jonker Street.

The iconic Petronas Twin Towers of Kuala Lumpur are often featured in film and photography, but the best way to experience this monolithic site is in person. Stand at the foot of one of the largest buildings in the world, watching the sun reflect off the 55,000 glass windows of this architectural giant.

712 square kilometres of rolling green bliss, the Cameron Highlands is one of Malaysia’s better-known landscapes thanks to its farms and plantations brimming with fresh produce and herbs. You’ll get the chance to experience a walking tour through a strawberry farm and a working tea plantation, then head to a butterfly park to watch these colourful insects flutter and dart around your head.

The capital of Penang, George Town, is a place full of colonial treasures and riveting heritage. Experience time-worn buildings and street art alike in this UNESCO-listed city where Malay, Chinese, Thai, Indian and European influences meet in curious harmony.

The package is valid for ONE PERSON aged 8 years or older (based on twin share). If you are travelling with another person you must purchase TWO PACKAGES, otherwise, an additional single traveller surcharge will apply. Single travellers will get their own room throughout the tour.

Single Traveller surcharge: If travelling alone, you must pay a single traveller surcharge.

A single traveller surcharge of AU$900 applies for 4 November and 9 December departures.

A single traveller surcharge of AU$1,120 applies for 23 December departures.

A single traveller surcharge of AU$1,000 applies for all other departures.

The maximum capacity on this tour is 32 people.

Maximum Room Capacity: The maximum room capacity is two people. If a child is travelling with two adults, then a twin and single room can be requested and single surcharge will apply.

Please note: Disability access is limited during the tour, please consider this before making your booking. Hotels may not have ramps, wide entryways or elevators to accommodate disabled passengers or devices such as wheelchairs, walkers and motorised scooters. Due to physical constraints and space limitations, wheelchairs, walking frames and motorised scooters may not be taken aboard motor coaches.

If a hotel listed is not available, a hotel of a similar standard will be substituted.

Day 1 – Arrive in Singapore

Arrive in dynamic Singapore, a global city of extraordinary contrasts; make your own way to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to get acquainted with the exciting lifestyle of this city at your own pace

Day 2 –Singapore

The city’s colonial heritage is evident as you drive around the Civic District past the Padang Cricket Club, Parliament House, the Supreme Court and City Hall. Stop at Merlion Park for great views of Marina Bay and a picture taking opportunity with the Merlion, a mythological creature with the head of a lion and the body of a fish. In the bustling and crowded Chinatown with its lively winding alleyways, visit Thian Hock Keng, the oldest Chinese temple in Singapore. Enjoy an exotic lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to colorful Little India, jam-packed with quaint shops selling spices, saris, trinkets, and jewelry. Tonight, a briefing by your Tour Manager on the tour of Singapore and Malaysia that lies ahead, followed by a Welcome Dinner with your fellow travelers

Day 3 – Johor-Singapore Causeway to Melaka

A morning drive across the Johor-Singapore Causeway to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Melaka, on the Malay Peninsula's southwest coast. Founded in the 1400s by a Sumatra prince, Melaka soon became one of the richest seaports in Southeast Asia. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards, check into your hotel. Afternoon is at leisure to explore Melaka on your own

Day 4 – Walking Tour of Melaka, Arrive in Kuala Lumpur

On the historical walking tour of Melaka, visit St. Paul Hill, Porta de Santiago and Jonker Street, the artistic center of the city with its trendy art galleries, antique stores and crafts shops. Then, a lunch of local favorites before proceeding to Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia with its striking skyline of soaring skyscrapers, contrasted by minarets and Mughal style domes. After time to settle in, the rest of the day is at leisure

Day 5 – Sights of Kuala Lumpur

In the suburbs of Kuala Lumpur, visit the iconic Batu Caves, a series of cave temples and sacred site of a Hindu shrine. Afterward, on to the ornate National Palace with its mounted guards in British style uniforms, the National Museum and National Monument, a sculpture built in remembrance of the heroes who fought for the country’s independence, and view the National Mosque. View the colonial-era Sultan Abdul Samad Building, a distinguished landmark with strong Moorish style influences and the Royal Selangor Club before continuing to view the dramatic glass and steel Petronas Twin Towers, one of the tallest buildings in the world. The afternoon is free for independent explorations

Day 6 – Cameron Highlands, Orang Asli Village

Heading north, ascend the beautiful rolling hills of the Cameron Highlands with its verdant forests, tea plantations, strawberry farms and rushing waterfalls. Because of its climate, this area attracts over 700 different species of birds and a wide variety of colorful flowers. You’ll stop at an authentic Orang Asli village (Malaysia's original inhabitants) in the forest of the Highlands for insight into their traditions, lifestyle and unique culture historically linked with the indigenous people in Myanmar and Thailand. Late lunch at a local restaurant before returning to the resort. Tonight, enjoy dinner together at the hotel

Day 7 – Tea Plantation, Kuala Kangsar, Penang

In the lush Cameron Highlands, a morning tour to a working tea plantation, strawberry farm, and a popular Butterfly Park. Enjoy amazing panoramic views over endless valleys! Later, after lunch, travel north to the picturesque royal capital of Kuala Kangsar, the first foothold of the British in Malaysia. View the colonial construction dotted around the center of the city before arriving at the magnificent Ubudiah Mosque with its stunning marble exterior accented by glittering golden domes. After views of the luxurious Palace of the Sultan of Perak, head across the Penang Bridge, one of the longest in Asia, into the island of Penang

Day 8 – Explore Penang

Today you explore Penang, the oldest British settlement in Malaysia, a colorful cross-section of Malay, Chinese, Thai, Indian, and European influences. Drive through colonial Georgetown, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the capital of Penang. Stop at Fort Cornwallis, the largest standing fort in Malaysia before a walking tour to St. George’s Church, the Kuan Yin Temple, Hindu Temple and Kapitan Keling Mosque. Arrive in lively Little India to see the ornate Khoo Kongsi Clan House designed to capture the splendor of a Chinese Imperial Palace. The afternoon is at leisure to linger and explore Penang on your own. Tonight’s Farewell Dinner caps a fabulous journey!

Day 9 – Depart Malaysia

Your tour starts in Singapore and ends in Malaysia. Getting to Singapore is easy, regular flights are available with carriers including Qantas, Jetstar and Singapore Airlines and have approximate flight time of 13 hours.
