Blackout Dates & Surcharges: A non-refundable surcharge per room, per night may apply, payable at the time of booking. Dates and prices are identified in the Booking Calendar. Blackout dates may apply.

7-Day Change of Mind ‘No Questions Asked’ Refund Guarantee: Things don’t always work out. Our 7-day Change of Mind Guarantee is there to help. Bookings (except for cruise bookings, flights and deposit fee, if applicable, which are subject to the cancellation terms of the relevant supplier) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days prior to the check-in date. Excludes flight and service fee, if applicable.

• Cancellations outside of the 7-Day Change of Mind period will not be provided, except as required by Australian Consumer Law, your local law or as otherwise provided for in the Fine Print.

Flexible Cancellation: You can cancel your booking until 21 days prior to the original check-in date, however the following fees will apply: $995 per adult (12+) for economy class bookings, $795 per child (2–11) for economy class bookings; $2,995 for adults and children (2+) for business class bookings. The remaining balance, after deduction of the applicable cancellation fees will be refunded to your original payment or credit.

Cancellation can be done via self-service in your ‘My Escapes’ account. If refunded as credit, your credit will be valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation. Credits are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Excludes service fee, if applicable.

Please note this does not apply to flights (outside of your Melbourne to Malé return flight) booked with us. Flight fulfilment is provided by the airline(s) selected at the time of finalising the booking. For your air travel, you are bound by the terms and conditions and fare rules of the selected airline(s).

Luxury Escapes Private Charter is operated by Maldivian and is subject to government and regulatory approvals.

Green Tax: A green tax of US$12 per person, per night applies to all guests and is not included in your package. Payable directly to the resort.

Return Domestic Flight Airport Transfers (Hoarafushi/Hanimadhoo/Khulhudhufushi)

• Domestic transfer is a flight followed by speedboat. Please see here for transfer timetables (subject to change).
• Travel time from Malé to JA Manafaru is approximately one hour, followed by a 10-minute speedboat ride (Hoarafushi to Manafaru), 40-minute speedboat ride (Hanimadhoo to Manafari) or 45-minute speedboat ride (Khulhudufushi to Manafaru). Please take travel time into consideration before booking international flights.
• Upon arrival at Velana International Airport, guests will be greeted by an Airport Guest Services Agent holding a ‘JA Manafaru’ paging board. They will be escorted to the passenger transfer lounge to await the onward scheduled flight into the atoll. Light refreshments will be provided.
• Return domestic transfers schedule timings may be subject to change depending on the operational processes and restrictions at Velana International Airport (MLE). The resort has no control and takes no liability for this third-party operation, nor the aircraft carriers’ policies or services and/or any schedule, delay or cancellation that impacts your onward travel.
• Domestic scheduled flight transfers run twice daily and transfers do not operate at night.
• Transfer costs are subject to change.
• Passengers are permitted one piece of baggage with a maximum weight of 20kg and one additional, smaller piece of luggage with a maximum weight of 5kg. Additional direct charges by the carrier may apply for luggage over the allowed weight limit. Heavy luggage may be offloaded and sent on the next available transfer. Please note this may not be on the same day of travel and the airline’s decision is final in relation to all flight movements.
• Return transfers must be purchased for a surcharge US$550 per adult and US$320 per child, payable directly to the resort.
• Infants are required to sit on a parent’s lap during the transfers.

Return Seaplane Airport Transfers

• Seaplane flights travel directly from Malé to JA Manafaru resort and take approximately 70 minutes. Please see here for transfer timetables (subject to change).
• Passengers are permitted one piece of baggage with a maximum weight of 20kg and one additional, smaller piece of luggage with a maximum weight of 5kg. Additional direct charges by the carrier may apply for luggage over the allowed weight limit. Heavy luggage may be offloaded and sent on the next available transfer. Please note this may not be on the same day of travel and the airline’s decision is final in relation to all flight movements.
• Return transfers must be purchased for a surcharge of US$795 per adult and US$640 per child, payable directly to the resort.
• Infants are required to sit on a parent’s lap during the transfers.
