Green Island Resort is hidden a serene 45-minute journey from Cairns, on its very own coral cay in the Coral Sea. The only coral cay of its kind with a rainforest in the exquisite Great Barrier Marine Park, this secluded hideaway invites you to relax on the sun-kissed shores, discover the marine life below the translucent surface and take a walk through nature. The resort is located approximately a 45-minute boat trip from the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal, which is approximately a 15-minute drive from Cairns Airport (CNS).

Scheduled roundtrip catamaran transfers directly to Green Island Resort from Cairns are included in your package, please see the Fine Print for details. Transfers between the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal and Cairns Airport (CNS) are not included in your package, please plan accordingly.

  • Medical conditions and medications may preclude some people from diving and as such, diving is subject to a medical questionnaire.
  • The minimum age to scuba dive is 12 years.
  • Glass-bottom boat tours run daily from 9.30am and last approximately 30 minutes. Bookings can be made at reception.
  • Fish feeding takes place daily at 5pm.
  • The included food credit must be used during your stay. Any unused credit will be forfeited and is not transferable or redeemable for cash.
  • Dining credit can be used at any of the resort’s dining outlets.
  • Great Barrier Reef tour departs at 11.30am and arrives back 4.30pm.
  • Bookings are essential for the Great Barrier Reef tour with Great Adventures. Tour dates can be changed, subject to availability.
  • Nightly drink is one per person, per day, from a choice of sparkling wine, sparkling wine with juice, beer or non-alcoholic juice, served at Sunset Beach or at the top of the jetty from 5.15pm. During wet weather, the nightly drink can be served by the pool.

Bookings (except for cruise bookings, flights and deposit fee, if applicable, which are subject to the cancellation terms of the relevant supplier) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days prior to the check-in date. Excludes flight and service fee, if applicable.

  • Cancellations outside of the 7-Day Change of Mind period will not be provided, except as required by Australian Consumer Law, your local law or as otherwise provided for in the Fine Print.
