Elysia Wellness Retreat is located in Pokolbin in the Hunter Valley, a little over two hours from Sydney. Hidden in the iconic wine region, this retreat is your launchpad to chef-hatted restaurants, award-winning wineries, distilleries and natural wonders, including the heritage Old Great North Road.

The hotel is located approximately a one-hour drive from Newcastle Airport (NTL). Airport transfers are not included in your package, please plan accordingly.

  • Dining inclusions do not include drinks (unless otherwise stated). Menus are subject to change without notice.
  • The schedule for the mind and body activities will be updated daily and can be subject to change without notice.
  • Daily wellness activities vary each day, with a mix of high and low intensity classes, education seminars mid-week only and a guest speaker on Saturday nights. There is an average of eight hours of activities scheduled per day for guests to choose to participate in.
  • Wellness classes must be pre-booked from a limited selection, subject to availability.
  • The included retreat credit must be used during your stay.
  • Any unused credit will for forfeited and is not transferable or redeemable for cash. Credits cannot be combined.
  • The retreat credit is to be used across the retreat for beauty products, blissful spa treatments and the retail store.
  • The retreat does not have smoking, caffeine or alcohol. These are not allowed to be brought onsite.
  • Mobile phones are allowed in your suite, but cannot be used in common areas.
  • A welcome consultation is available for all guests staying three or more nights, depending on your time of arrival and subject to availability.
  • Guest rooms receive a nightly turndown service between 6pm—7pm, where your blinds are closed and your bed is turned down.
  • Program guests arriving on Sunday can utilise the Newcastle shuttle for A$80 per person each way (subject to availability).
  • Please contact the hotel directly to confirm availability.
  • If your flights do not coordinate with shuttle times or you are participating in two or three-night programs, the resort can arrange a private transfer at an additional cost to/from Newcastle Airport.
  • From 8 February 2026 to end of March 2026 there are major repairs taking place in the change rooms which will impact overall experience, however day spa treatments are still available. The repairs are to change rooms located within the Day Spa, including the steam room and heated plunge pools. The repairs will be done back to back with the women’s change room first (approximately 4 weeks) followed by the men’s change room. The repairs include removal of all tiles in the spa pools — resealing and retiling and will involve some noisy works but will not impact day spa treatments or guests staying in the villas.
Cancellation policy

Blackout Dates & Surcharges: A non-refundable surcharge per room, per night may apply, payable at the time of booking. Dates and prices are identified in the Booking Calendar. Blackout dates may apply.

7-Day Change of Mind ‘No Questions Asked’ Refund Guarantee: Things don’t always work out. Our 7-day Change of Mind Guarantee is there to help. Bookings (except for cruise bookings, flights and deposit fee, if applicable, which are subject to the cancellation terms of the relevant supplier) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days before the check-in date. Excludes flight and service fee, if applicable.

  • Cancellations outside of the 7-Day Change of Mind period will not be provided, except as required by Australian Consumer Law, your local law or as otherwise provided for in the Fine Print.

Flexible Cancellation: You can cancel your booking for a credit up to 21 days before the original check-in date. This can be done via self-service in your ‘My Escapes’ account. Your credit will be valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation. Credits are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Excludes service fee, if applicable.
