Bannisters Port Stephens is located in Soldiers Point, overlooking the glittering waters of Salamander Bay. A stay here puts gold-sand beaches, azure waters and coastal walks on your doorstep, with national parks and Stockton Sand Dunes just a short drive away. The hotel is located an approximately 30-minute drive from Newcastle Airport (NTL) or a three-hour drive from Sydney Airport (SYD). Airport transfers are not included in your package; please plan accordingly.

7-Day Change of Mind ‘No Questions Asked’ Refund Guarantee: Things don’t always work out. Our 7-day Change of Mind Guarantee is there to help. Bookings (except for cruise bookings, flights and deposit fee, if applicable, which are subject to the cancellation terms of the relevant supplier) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days prior to the check-in date. Excludes flight and service fee, if applicable.

Flexible Cancellation: You can cancel your booking for credit up until 21 days prior to the original check-in date. This can be done via self-service in your ‘My Escapes’ account. Your credit will be valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation. Credits are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Excludes service fee, if applicable.

Date Changes: If you need to amend your booking, you can self-service unlimited date changes in your ‘My Escapes’ account up until 21 days before your original check-in date. Please Note:

• Dining inclusions do not include drinks (unless otherwise stated). Menus are subject to change without notice.
• Sparkling wine is served by reception staff upon guests’ arrival to the hotel. Available between midday and 8pm during guest check-in. Non-alcoholic welcome drink is available upon request. No substitutions.
• Daily breakfast is served in the Rick Stein restaurant between 7am and 10.30am. Includes an extensive cold buffet breakfast with pastries, juices, chia and yoghurt puddings, cold meats and cheeses. Herbal teas and coffee available by self-serve.
• Bookings are essential for the included two-course dinner at the Rick Stein restaurant; the hotel will contact guests to organise bookings and enquire about any dietary requirements. Dining reservations should be made as soon as possible after booking accommodation, as seatings are subject to availability. Dinner bookings are available from 5.30pm. Hours of operation are subject to change; please see the Bannisters website for current opening hours. Guests have a choice of options from a set menu. Menus will be provided upon arrival to the restaurant. Sample menus can be provided upon request; however, as our menus change daily they may not be identical to that provided on the night.
• The Rick Stein masterclass is held at 3pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the Rick Stein restaurant. The hotel will contact guests to organise a booking. Comprises a 60-minute cooking demonstration conducted by the Bannisters Executive Head Chef (or Head Chef), based on Rick Stein’s books and some of his favourite locations.
