Your cruise departs Bordeaux, France at 5pm on Day 3. Boarding commences on Day 2 (with boarding times being announced prior to departure) and returns to Barcelona, Spain at 6am on Day 15. Please ensure you arrive in time for boarding.

Day 1: Arrive in Bordeaux, France
Start your day knowing adventure awaits as you arrive in Bordeaux – the hub of the famed wine-growing region and home to galleries, museums and impeccable gothic architecture. Make your way to Hotel De Normandie Bordeaux Centre . The rest of the day is yours to spend at leisure.

Days 2 & 3: Bordeaux, France
After your included breakfast on day 2, make the most of your morning in Bordeaux. Visit the famed Bordeaux Cathedral, the Grand Theatre de Bordeaux, Place des Quinconces or the Musee d’Aquitaine.
Make your own way to the ship where you will dock overnight allowing you plenty of time to explore the world’s largest urban UNESCO site. Wander through the elegant Place de la Bourse with its beautiful 18th-century limestone palaces and gaze at the incredible classical and neoclassical buildings and fine mansions. Be sure to sample some of the world’s best wines. Venture to a nearby wine chateau and sit among the rolling vineyards whilst tasting different types of Bordeaux, produced in the region since Roman times.

Day 4: At Sea
Familiarise yourself with the facilities onboard Azamara Pursuit with a day at sea. Indulge in some well-deserved rest and relaxation on board, with time to anticipate your upcoming journey. Watch the turquoise waters pass you by, work out in the state-of-the-art onboard fitness centre, sip a drink poolside or visit Sanctum Spa (surcharges apply) for a moment of bliss.

Day 5: La Coruna, Spain
Today, dock in La Coruna, a picturesque city shaped by the sea. Be sure to drop by the Roman Tower of Hercules, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, witness the spectacular Paseo Marítimo lighthouse and take a stroll along the waterfront to see Castelo de San Anoon, the Millennium monument, and Orzan and Riazor beaches.

Day 6: Vigo, Spain
Sail into Vigo today, in the heart of the Galicia region – full of Spanish frill, with sumptuous eateries, rugged terrain and picturesque shopping, adventure beckons. Ascend to the top of Castro Fortress to take in city views from the 17th-century granite-walled fortifications, embark on a day trip to the nearby Cies Islands where jaw-droppingly gorgeous waters await or people watch from one of the mouthwatering tapas bars.

Days 7–8: Lisbon, Portugal
Spend the next two nights in Lisbon – Portugal’s vibrant, colourful capital city, and the country’s cultural and commercial heart. Enjoy plenty of time to explore the magnificent city architecture, walkable streets, Baroque churches and the captivating miradouros — viewpoints scattered on the hilltops that offer panoramic vistas to the sea and castles beyond the city confines.
Make time for a Fado music show and a delicious seafood meal before riding the iconic Tram 28 to Bairro Alto. Tour the Torre de Belem, a fortified tower built in the 16th century that watches over the city from the mouth of the River Tagus. History buffs will also enjoy a visit to Belem or nearby Sintra to explore UNESCO World Heritage Sites like the Jeronimos Monastery and Quinta da Regaleira.

Days 9–10: Seville, Spain
On days nine and 10, let Seville’s historically rich charms entice you. Stroll down winding Medieval lanes, grazing on tapas from bar to bar. Visit the spectacular Cathedral of Seville, the largest Gothic cathedral in the world where Christopher Columbus is buried. See the renowned Giralda Bell Tower with its striking Moorish architecture built on the site of the former great mosque; its minaret is still intact. Drive to the majestic Plaza de Espana, an architectural complex by the Guadalquivir river within the fragrant orange-scented gardens of Maria Luisa Park. Be sure to catch a flamenco show whilst you’re docked in this exciting port.

Day 11: Gibraltar
Gibraltar rocks – in more ways than one. From historic architecture to lush botanic gardens and multicultural roots, this British Overseas Territory is more than its most famous landmark, the Rock of Gibraltar. Take a cable car to the top of the rock and enjoy panoramic views of the island on your way up. Explore the caves where the troupes of Barbary macaques have taken up residence, stroll along the port area and dine outdoors in one of the many British-inspired restaurants, serving everything from pub grub to Mediterranean fare.

Day 12: Malaga, Spain
Enjoy a full day in Malaga, a melting pot for the arts. Famed as the birthplace of Picasso, the seaside town also has a vibrant music scene with an enormous selection of bars, cafes and nightclubs. Make the most of your time ashore to visit the city’s Alcazaba, an 11th-century citadel that is home to palaces, beautiful gardens and opulent fountains and if time permits, enjoy time lazing on the golden sand beaches.

Steeped in over 2000 years of history, Cartagena greets you with its ancient Romans, Arabic and Castilian history. Stroll along the blue-marble-tiled pedestrian-only Calle Mayor to uncover Cartagena’s ancient Roman Theater — built in the first century A.D. and the 18th-century Conception Castle.

It’s time to say your final goodbye to Azamara Pursuit this morning when you disembark after breakfast.

With a history rich in art and architecture, medieval, Gothic, and modern influences can be seen all over this vibrant city. Start at the waterfront and stroll up the shady, tree-lined Las Ramblas boulevard and discover some of the city’s best shopping and bustling cafes.
