Getting to Abbey of The Roses is easy. The hotel is located just under two hours from Brisbane. Regular flights are available with Jetstar, Virgin and Tiger Air departing most Australian capital an approximate flight time of two hours. The hotel is approximately a 2 hours drive from Brisbane airport. Airport transfers are not included in your package.
Flights depart regularly from major gateways including Singapore (approx flight time of 7.5 hours), Hong Kong (approx flight time of 9 hours), Dubai (approx flight time of 18 hours with a minimum of one stopover) and Bangkok (approx flight time 9 hours).

The Hotel – A beautiful heritage-listed building
Housed in an historic sandstone building dating back to 1891, Abbey of The Roses is an adults-only boutique hotel oozing charm. Surrounded by perfectly manicured gardens, the building conceals over 120 years of history in its halls and rooms, with beautiful statues designed by Frederic Auguste Bartholdi, who designed the Statue of Liberty, and stained glass by the Munich Royal Bavarian Art Institute for Stained Glass.
The hotel boasts just 13 luxurious rooms, a cosy guest lounge with an open fire during winter, a private dining room, tennis court, outdoor chess and complimentary bikes for an exquisite getaway.
The Room – Where luxury amenities and history meet
Step inside one of the beautifully decorated rooms of Abbey of The Roses, each boasting a different design, velvet touches, modern amenities and plenty of charm. From high vaulted ceilings to striking chandeliers, the rooms are fit for queens and kings, or lords and ladies – and will transport you back to yesteryear for a unique experience.
Mother Superior Room: Back in the day when the property was a convent, this used to be Mother Superior’s room. Beautifully restored but still mantaining its original design, this room now features a king bed with canopy over and a private bathroom located down the hall.
Veranda Room 5: The perfect winter escape, the Veranda Room is the only bedroom in the manor with a fireplace. Romance abounds in this elegant space, complete with a four-poster bed, a veranda and a private bathroom down the hall.
Do Drop in Room 8: A quaint and cosy room perfect for a romantic escape, Room 8 offers a plush four-poster queen bed, a small en suite and a private veranda.
Suite 10: Named after Catherine McCauley, who started the Sister of Mercy Order, suite 10 is a spacious and stylish room with a small en suite and a king bed.
The Victoria Suite: Plush velvet couches, a king bed and vintage furniture abound in the Victoria Suite, complete with a spacious bathroom with bath tub and separate shower for your comfort outside the room.
The Bavarian Suite: Feel like a lord or lady when you enter the striking Bavarian Suite, a palatial room with over 60sqm of traditional decor, high vaulted ceilings, chandeliers, original stain glass windows from the Bavarian Art Institute in Munich, private veranda and a bathroom with an original pink cast-iron claw-foot bath.
Mercy Suite: A palatial suite spread over 40sqm with original wooden floorboards, pressed metal ceilings and plush armchairs, the Mercy Suite boastsa private veranda, a queen bed with a beautiful chandelier, a dressing room, a beautiful chandelier and a modern bathroom with separate bath to shower.
