Itinerary & map
What you’ll see
Cape Town, Mossel Bay

There is nowhere in the world quite like Cape Town, a sprawling coastal city with no shortage of natural splendour, surrounded by pristine white beaches and sitting pretty in the shadow of the impressive Table Mountain.

This is where your African safari adventure kicks off. Be sure to make your own way to the central Cape Town hotel meeting point (Holiday Inn Cape Town or The Commodore Hotel Cape Town) in advance of the 8am departure time, when you will begin your scenic Garden Route adventure (arrival transfers are available for a surcharge. Please contact our trusted third-party partner directly to enquire).

Follow the magnificent Sir Lowry’s mountain pass to Grabouw and Elgin, before continuing towards Cape Agulhas, the southernmost tip of Africa, where the stunning Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. It’s a rugged, windswept coastline and the graveyard for many a ship. The historic Cape Agulhas Lighthouse is the ultimate photo pitstop, before continuing to the historic town of Swellendam and onwards to Mossel Bay.

Upon arrival, settle into your resort, located on the pristine shores of Mossel Bay’s renowned Diaz Beach, and soak in the spectacular ocean views from your private balcony.

Please note: The tour begins at 8am. Please allow for travelling time. International flights are not included in your package and must be purchased separately. It is your responsibility to make your own travel arrangements and ensure that you arrive in Cape Town in advance of your chosen start date for 8am departure from a central Cape Town hotel.

A geological marvel of dripstone formations, with almost 4km of caves and hidden chambers, this is South Africa’s largest cave system and truly a breathtaking sight to behold.

This evening, stay in grandeur at the spellbinding 1902 La Plume, a Victorian homestead nestled on a working ostrich, alfalfa and cattle farm. Boasting spectacular views of the Swartberg mountains and Olifants River Valley, this boutique guesthouse offers old-world charm and tranquility.
