Angsana Velavaru

Angsana Velavaru, or ‘Turtle Island’ in local Dhivehi language, is located on an expansive private lagoon in South Nilandhe Atoll. Nestled on a pristine island, this incredible resort is surrounded by sparkling turquoise waters and an abundance of marine life. The resort is located approximately a 45-minute seaplane journey from Malé International Airport (MLE). Transfers are included in your package, please contact the resort to arrange.

Seaplanes are operated by a third-party company and are designed for water take-off and landing. Therefore, their flying times are restricted to daylight hours (between 6am and 3.30pm only) by the Maldives Civil Aviation Authority. Please make appropriate arrangements for your travel and accommodation plans to avoid missing your flight.

7-Day Change of Mind ‘No Questions Asked’ Refund Guarantee: Things don’t always work out. Our 7-day Change of Mind Guarantee is there to help. Bookings (except for cruise bookings, flights and deposit fee, if applicable, which are subject to the cancellation terms of the relevant supplier) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days prior to the check-in date. Excludes flight and service fee, if applicable.

• Cancellations outside of the 7-Day Change of Mind period will not be provided, except as required by Australian Consumer Law, your local law or as otherwise provided for in the Fine Print.

Flexible Cancellation: You can cancel your booking for credit up until 45 days prior to the original check-in date. This can be done via self-service in your ‘My Escapes’ account. Your credit will be valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation. Credits are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Excludes service fee, if applicable.

Date Changes: If you need to amend your booking, you can self-service ONE date change in your ‘My Escapes’ account up until 45 days before your original check-in date. • One-time sunset cruise for two is only available for stays between 1 May and 30 September.
• Please contact the resort’s reservations team in advance to book the sunset cruise.
• Unlimited free-flow drinks include beer, cocktails, spirits, wine, mocktails, soft drinks, juice, tea, coffee and water from the standard selection.
• Kuredhi Pool Bar opens daily for a la carte dining from 11am to 11pm.
• Funa Restaurant and Bar opens daily for a la carte dining from 11am to 10pm.
• Kaani Restaurant opens daily, with buffet breakfast 7.30am to 10.30am, buffet lunch 12.30pm to 2.30pm and buffet dinner 7pm to 9.30pm.
• Azzurro Restaurant and Bar opens daily, serving breakfast from 7.30am–10.30am, a la carte lunch from 12.30pm–2.30pm and dinner from 7pm–9.30pm.
• Guests staying in a Beachfront Villa may dine at Azzurro or Funa for an additional charge of US$35 per person, per meal. • InOcean Pool Villas and Azzurro Restaurant and Bar are not connected to the mainland and are separate from the island.
• There is an hourly ferry service from 7am to 11pm that connects guests between InOcean Villas and the main island.
• Pre-booking in advance for dining at Azzurro is recommended (InOcean Villa guests will be prioritised).
• Afternoon tea includes tea or coffee with handmade snacks and goodies, available from 3.30pm to 5pm daily.
• Complimentary in-villa minibar only includes soft drinks and snacks replenished once daily. All other items, including alcohol, will incur an additional charge.
• All drinks are served by glass only at Kaani and Kuredhi.
• Angsana Velavaru abides by the RSA regulations and has the right to enforce them.
• Non-motorised water sports include snorkelling equipment, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards.
• Children under four must be accompanied by an adult at the Rangers’ Club, open daily from 9am to 6pm.
• Destination dining spans beach barbecues, V-deck dining, floating breakfasts and teas, rooftop barbecues, lobster dinners and a Maldivian cooking class.
• Roundtrip seaplane transfers to and from Malé:

Beachfront Villa and InOcean Pool Villa Combo

• For guests staying in both villas, the stay will be split evenly if the total number of nights is even. For example, a six-night stay includes three nights in an InOcean Pool Villa and three nights in a Beachfront Villa. If the stay is for an odd number of nights, guests will spend one additional night in the Beachfront Villa. Dining venue access depends on villa type – guests may only dine at Azzurro while staying in an InOcean Pool Villa. Additional charges apply for guests wanting to dine at Azzurro while staying in a Beachfront Villa.
