The Standard, Maldives is located on Huruvalhi private island, approximately a 35-minute seaplane transfer from Malé Airport (MLE). With a pristine house reef and incredible opportunities for snorkelling, diving and swimming in the lagoon, this is quintessential Maldives bliss.

The resort is located approximately a 35-minute seaplane flight from Velana International Airport (MLE) in Malé. The resort can only be reached by a mandatory seaplane transfer, available at an additional cost (payable directly to the resort). Update 11th December 2024: As per the amendments to the Tourism Act issued by the Maldivian Government, applicable to all travellers arriving in the Maldives from 1 January 2025, the green tax payable by travellers upon arrival at hotels (including tourist resorts, tourist hotels, hotels, tourist guest houses, tourist vessels) has been increased from USD 6.00 to USD 12.00 per person per day.

Payment Information:

• A secure payment link for a one-night deposit will be sent from our Reservation email
• We accept Visa and MasterCard, both with VisaSecure or MasterCard SecureCode.
• Please verify any unexpected payment requests directly with us before proceeding. We will never cancel a booking without proper follow-up.

Currencies and Cards Accepted:

• We accept cash payments in USD, GBP, and EUR. (USD notes must be from 2001 onward).
• Card payments are accepted via Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, and UnionPay.

Travel Requirements:

• PCR tests are not required to enter the Maldives.
• However, all travelers must submit a health declaration within 96 hours prior to departure. Please submit the form here: https://imuga.immigration.gov.mv/traveller.

Compulsory Gala dinner: Mandatory Gala Dinner of US$350 per registered guest applies for Christmas Eve (24 December) and US$700 per registered guest applies for New Year’s Eve (31 December) celebrations. Charges will be added to your invoice after booking.

Drone Policy: For guest safety and privacy, drone use is only permitted with prior approval and under management supervision.

Other:

• Please present the same credit card used to guarantee your booking when checking in or making the payment at the hotel.

• Room upgrades are strictly subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Excludes two-bedroom pool villas and The Standard Residence.
• The included dining credit (3+ nights) must be used during your stay. Any unused credit will be forfeited and cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash. The dining credit cannot be split and must be used in one sitting.
• The included spa credit (5+ nights) applies to Full Board Rate packages only and must be used during your stay. Any unused credit will be forfeited and cannot be transferred or redeemed for cash.
• All-Inclusive Rate includes:

• Our resort is reachable via a scenic seaplane ride from Velana International Airport (MLE) in Malé.
• Roundtrip Seaplane Rates (transfer charges can be paid upon arrival):
  • Adult (12+ years): USD 495
  • Child (2–11.99 years): USD 297
  • Infant (under 2 years): Complimentary
• Baggage Allowance:
  • 20kg checked + 5kg hand luggage per person.
  • Excess baggage charged at US$5 per kg (subject to change without prior notice).
• To arrange your transfer, please send the following details at least 7 days prior to arrival:
  • Full names of all travelers (as per passport) and Birthdates of children (if applicable).
  • International arrival and departure flight details (flight number and time).
  • Names of any hotels you will be staying at before or after your stay with us.
  • Any special occasions during your stay.
• Transfer Timing Guidelines:
  • Arrivals: Flights should arrive at Velana International Airport (MLE) no later than 15:30 hrs (seaplane check-in closes at 16:30 hrs).
  • Departures: Flights from Malé should be scheduled no earlier than 9:00 hrs.
  • For flights outside these hours, we recommend booking accommodation near the airport.
• Arrival Instructions: Upon arrival, our representative will meet you and assist with check-in at the Trans Maldivian Airways counter for your seaplane transfer. You can then relax in The Standard Maldives seaplane lounge until it’s time to board.
