Alila Kothaifaru Maldives is located on the secluded Kothaifaru Island, part of the picturesque Raa Atoll. The Raa Atoll offers abundant snorkelling and diving options to explore its incredibly rich and diverse underwater world. The resort is accessible either by seaplane directly at the resort or by domestic flight to the nearest airport Ifuru (IFU) and speed boat journey to reach resort.

Roundtrip transfers are included in your package and should be arranged with the resort. Please ensure there’s a minimum of two hours between domestic and international flights. Your transfers to and from the island will be booked by the resort based on your international arrival/departure flight timings. You are required to share names of all guests, including children, as per passports and international flight details, at least 7 days prior to arrival in order to ensure a smooth and timely transfer.

Seaplanes are operational only during daylight hours (6.30am to 3.30pm) as per Maldivian aviation regulations and are subject to weather conditions and maintenance needs. Domestic flights are operated by Maldivian Airlines and operate during the day and night according to schedules and subject to weather conditions. In a situation where there is no connection available between international flights and seaplanes or domestic flights, guests will need to stay in Malé at their own cost and travel the next day, subject to available transportation.

7-Day Change of Mind ‘No Questions Asked’ Refund Guarantee: Things don’t always work out. Our 7-day Change of Mind Guarantee is there to help. Bookings (except for Tour bookings and flights) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days prior to the check-in date.

Flexible Cancellation: You can cancel your booking for Luxury Escapes credit up until 45 days prior to the original check-in date. This can be done via self-service in your ‘My Escapes’ account. Your Luxury Escapes credit will be valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation. Credits are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

Please note this does not apply to flights booked with Luxury Escapes. Flight fulfilment is provided by the airline(s) selected at the time of finalising the booking. For your air travel, you are bound by the terms and conditions and fare rules of the selected airline(s).

Date Changes: If you need to amend your booking, you can self-service ONE date change in your ‘My Escapes’ account up until 45 days before your original check-in date. • Dining inclusions do not include drinks (unless otherwise stated). Menus are subject to change without notice.
• Children are only permitted in the Beach Villa and infants are not permitted.
• Babysitting is available from USD$300 for four hours.
• Guests on the all-inclusive package can enjoy unlimited selected wines, beers and spirits, selected cocktails and soft drinks from 11am to 11pm at Seasalt, Mirus Bar and Yakitori Bar.
• Dining Credit: The included food credit must be used during your stay. Any unused credit will be forfeited and is not transferable or redeemable for cash. The daily US$50 food credit does not accumulate and resets daily. Dining credit cannot be used at The Shack.

Transfers:

• Transfer luggage: One 20kg bag and one 5kg bag are allowed per person. A surcharge of US$5 per additional kilogram and 12% taxes will be charged.
• Your transfers to and from Alila Kothaifaru Maldives will be booked by the resort based on your international flight. Therefore, all guests are required to share their full names as stated in their passport and international flight details seven days prior to arrival in order to ensure a smooth and timely transfer. Domestic flight reservations will be confirmed within 72 hours from the time of the request.
• Resort’s speed boat will be reserved as part of the journey from/to Domestic Airport Ifuru (IFU).
• Maldivian Airlines reserves the right to refuse bookings where the minimum connection time required by any given international airline is not possible to accomplish.
• In situations where there is no connection available between international flights and seaplanes, guests will need to stay in Malé at their own cost and travel the next day subject to available transportation. Guests departing on international flights earlier than 9am may be required to check out one day before the date of departure and stay overnight in Malé to reach the airport on time.
• Seaplane check-in closes one hour prior to departure. Guests arriving on flights around 3pm are required to be at the check-in counter by 4pm in order to guarantee transfers on the same day.
• Extra guest roundtrip airport transfers are available for a surcharge of US$600 (adults) and US$300 (children).
