A Luxury Upgrade gives you the chance to recuperate before the journey home by upgrading your last three nights to premium accommodation with a more rejuvenating programme of activities. Can I change my check in date post purchase: Once you have purchased your package and received confirmation your dates cannot be changed without contacting the tour operator directly. This decision is strictly at the discretion of the tour operator and subject to availability, so please ensure you have selected your intended travel dates.

Booking guarantee: Book before 14 days after purchase period and if you don’t get your preferred dates (within the validity period) we will give you a FULL refund (evidence of attempted booking must be provided to us by 16 days after purchase period). Refunds are not available if you are unable to secure your preferred dates after that date.

The package is valid for ONE PERSON over the age of ten (twin share).

You must purchase and redeem TWO VOUCHERS per booking if travelling with someone, otherwise an additional single traveller surcharge applies, payable directly to Himalayan Social Journey (more information below).

Single Traveller Surcharge: Guests travelling alone must pay a single traveller surcharge of AU$300 for the standard package and AU$400 for the luxury upgrade package, payable directly to the tour company.

Maximum Room Capacity: The maximum room capacity is two adults.

Bedding: You have a choice between double or twin bedding in your room. Please note, no extra beds can be added.

Trek Capacity: The minimum trek capacity is two people and the maximum capacity is 16 people per trek (additional trek dates can be arranged if required).

Trek is suitable for people aged between 10 and 70. Please note that a good standard of fitness is required to complete the trek. If you have any health issues, please consult your doctor before purchasing.

This is a Grade Two Rated Trek: Moderate Trek

A moderate trek requires you to walk 5-6 hours per day with a light day pack. Walking in higher altitudes is more physically demanding than walking in lower altitudes, however the pace of the trek will vary in compensation. If you are in excellent health with average physical fitness and strong determination, you will complete a moderate trek successfully. Exercising, particularly jogging and climbing stairs regularly for some weeks prior to your arrival is recommended to enhance your strength and fitness. Past hiking experience would be an asset, but no technical skill is required.

Package does not include the following: International flights, personal equipment and clothing, lunch & dinner in Kathmandu, Pokhara and trekking days (meal costs about AU$4 – AU$7 dollar per item depending where you eat), city sightseeing entry fee in Kathmandu, directly payable to sites, sightseeing entry fees, NPR 250 (Syambhunath) +400 (Boudhanath) +1000 (Patan durbar square), + 1000 (Pashupatinath), Kapan Monastery or Pashupatinath - Paragliding (USD 80) and OPTIONAL flight tickets (Pokhara-Chitwan: USD $110 PP for one way and Chitwan-Kathmandu: USD 115 PP one way), travel insurance.

Himalayan Social Journey’s cancellation and change of date policy applies. Any changes to confirmed bookings are at the discretion of the tour group and charges may apply.

Vouchers are not refundable after purchase other than in accordance with the Booking Guarantee.

One porter will be allocated amongst two people during your trek.

Airport transfers are provided at any time as per the flight schedule.

Dining inclusions do not include beverages (unless otherwise stated) and menu options are subject to change.

All necessary expenses for your guide and porter, such as flights and accommodation, are included. Tipping is not mandatory but is recommended at your own discretion. US$40 to US$60 per traveller is a rough guide.
