The full sheep shearing at Walter Peak will be stopped between June and September 2025. The farm show would be included and would only conduct the belly shearing part, subject to weather conditions. At the same time, our rural guide will explain how shearing works, and talk about the equipment they normally use for sheep shearing.

From 4 July between 8.30am-11.30am daily while the TSS Earnslaw is tied up at Steamer Wharf, the Earnslaw Café onboard will be open and serving breakfast and coffee
The TSS Earnslaw will undergo annual maintenance between early June and early July and during this time you will travel on a smaller motorised vessel (Spirit of Queenstown)
