Velkomst to Oslo! Here, your Norwegian adventure begins. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure and check in to your accommodation. At 5pm, meet your guide in the lobby to embark on a welcome dinner cruise with fellow travellers through the Oslofjord.
Climb aboard the floating restaurant and enjoy dinner curated by Restaurant Einer, recognised with a Michelin Green Star for its sustainable dining. Their ever-evolving menu is inspired by seasonal ingredients and paired with a considered selection of drinks (additional charges apply), showcasing Norway’s culinary heritage.
You’ll glide past Oslo’s best landmarks, including the Oslo Opera House, Akershus Fortress, and Munch Museum. Return to your hotel later this evening.

Stride into a guided morning walk and learn about Oslo’s history. Begin your journey at the Royal Palace, home to the Norwegian monarchy, and continue to the Norwegian Parliament, where you’ll get a sense of the country’s political history. Walk past the University of Oslo, an important centre for education and research, before strolling down the Karl Johan shopping street, a hub of activity with a mix of boutiques, cafes and street performers.
Next, hop on a tram to Vigeland Park, home to hundreds of sculptures by Gustav Vigeland.
At your leisure, continue your discovery of Oslo on your own time.
Leave the city behind and catch the early train to Myrdal on a six-hour journey. Then, move onto cosy Flam as you travel on the scenic Flam Railway. Watch the landscapes outside your carriage as you cross the largest mountain plateau in Northern Europe, where waterfalls meet rivers on their way to the great expanse of the fjords.
In the afternoon, arrive at your fjord-side hotel and check-in. Spend the evening freely amid the mountain air.

Start your day with a scenic cruise through Aurlandsfjord and Naeroyfjord. Carved by glaciers over thousands of years, these channels evolved into the dramatic fjords we see today.
Arrive in Gudvangen, a village inspired by Viking traditions, then continue to Voss by bus. Pass through deep canyons and ascend towering mountainsides.
Upon reaching Voss, travel by rail to Bergen, where you’ll be transferred to your hotel for the evening.

Familiarise yourself with one of Northern Europe’s oldest port cities, Bergen, on a morning sightseeing tour. Stroll through the harbourside Bryggen district and learn about its long history.
The colourful wooden buildings that line the wharf once housed Hanseatic merchants trading in dried codfish and other goods. Your guide will bring to life stories of fires, resistance fighters and the evolving culture of Bergen from the Middle Ages to the present day.
Continue your walk to the Fish Market and then to the historic Bergen Fortress, a symbol of the city’s resilience. Explore Hakon’s Hall, a medieval royal banquet hall dating back to 1261, and the Renaissance-era Rosenkrantz Tower, which once guarded the city’s coastline.
For those inclined, you may take a ride on the century-old Floibanen funicular railway to the top of Floyen for a bird’s-eye view. Enjoy a visit to the cafe or meet the friendly cashmere goats that roam the mountaintop in the summer.
Wake to a hearty breakfast and spend your morning at leisure before boarding an express boat transfer to Kalvag – one of the best-preserved fishing villages in the region. Colourful wooden houses and sunsets make this coastal port a must-visit.
Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel where you’ll enjoy dinner with your fellow travellers.

Enjoy a full day at leisure in the fishing village of Kalvag. If you’re feeling more adventurous, Kalvag’s surrounding landscapes offer many options. Hiking trails weave through nearby mountains, leading to scenic beaches and cliffs. Here, you may be lucky enough to spot sea eagles hunting in their natural habitat.
Alternatively, you could embark on a boat tour of the rugged coastline, visit nearby islands, or even try your hand at fishing. For a more immersive experience, take a guided wildlife excursion or join a local nature tour to discover the unique flora and fauna of this coastal region.
Enjoy breakfast before meeting your leader for a drive along the Nordfjord. Stop along the way for an optional visit to Sagastad Viking Centre (surcharges apply), where you can see a 30-metre-long reconstruction of the famed Myklebust ship.
Continue to the open-air Nordfjord Folk Museum for a guided exploration of 44 historic buildings dating back to the 18th century, demonstrating village life in the Nordfjord region.
In the afternoon, arrive in Loen and check in at your hotel, where you’ll be fed a delicious dinner this evening.
Travel time: Driving – approx. three hours
After breakfast, drive to the Kjenndalen Valley for a walk up to the Kjenndalen Glacier, the lowest arm of Jostedal Glacier and the largest in Europe.
You may purchase lunch at the Kjenndalsstova, situated at the end of Loen Lake, then ascend to the top of Mount Hoven on the Loen Skylift. At the summit, take a moment to memorise the views over the Nordfjord.
Return to your hotel and enjoy another hearty dinner this evening.
Set off for your journey further north to Alesund.
Stop along the way to admire the mountains and the markers of Norwegian life through the valleys, including the small-town of Stryn and the Viking-era stone arches of Horndola Bridge. Explore the ‘Queen’s Route’ and Norangsdalen, one of Norway’s narrowest valleys, and see the rushing white waters of Hellesyltfossen.
Catch the ferry from Leknes to Saebo for lunch at the Sagafjord Hotel. Continue to Alesund, where you’ll check in at your hotel for the evening.
Travel time: Coach – approx. four hours
Today is yours to explore! Alesund is famous for its Art Nouveau architecture, created after a fire in 1904 destroyed much of the city. Rebuilt with inspiration from the Art Nouveau movement, the town features ornate details, towers, turrets, and colourful facades. Enjoy the architecture and fresh seafood along the coast.
For adventure seekers, consider kayaking along the waterfront or joining a wildlife sea safari. You can also climb Mount Aksla or hike up Mount Saksa.
Carry on to Andalsnes along the Geiranger-Trollstigen National Tourist Route, then set out for an easy-going two-hour guided hike along Rauma River.
You may wish to continue the walk up to Rampestreken for an unbeatable lookout, stretching out upon the valley below.
Later this afternoon, travel on to your hotel by the sea in Hustadvika.
Travel time: Driving – approx. four hours
Hustadvika, one of the most treacherous stretches of water on the Norwegian coast, features rocky cliffs and rugged landscapes ideal for outdoor exploration.
During this free day, you can opt to join a guided walk along the seashore or take a trip to the Stemhesten viewpoint above the water.
This evening, relax by the fire with a three-course dinner at Restaurant Flo, featuring local delicacies and seasonal ingredients.
Rise and shine for one of the most scenic drives, following the curving roads and topography of the Atlantic Road.
Stop at Kvernes State Church, a wooden church built in the early 15th century. Then continue to Kristiansund and board the late afternoon express boat to Trondheim, where you’ll arrive in time to check in at your hotel and settle in for one last Norwegian dinner.

Enjoy a final breakfast at your hotel before saying goodbye to friends as your Norwegian journey ends.
