Dive into the thrill of surfing with a two-hour beginner’s surf session at popular Spit Beach. Perfect for first-timers or those needing a helping hand to finesse their technique, you’ll learn in waist-deep whitewash, making this a safe and exciting way to experience the joy of catching your first wave. By the end, you’ll be able to ride the waves and feel the thrill of surfing. With a maximum of five students per instructor, you’ll enjoy personalised guidance so that you can build confidence quickly and make the most of every wave.

- Bookings are essential at least 24 hours in advance

- Ample free parking is available at Spit Beach
- A shuttle service is available for participants only, payable directly to Get Wet Surf. Pick-ups are restricted to select locations only. See here for more information
- Private change rooms, showers, toilets and storage for your belongings are available at Get Wet Surf’s office
- This is a group experience meaning you will likely share your lesson with other participants
- Please allow up to two hours for each lesson
Terms & Conditions:
- All guests must be aged 13+ participate in this experience
- Student rate is valid for holders of an Australian Student Card that must be presented at check-in
- Please note, surcharges may apply on official Queensland public holidays, payable directly to Get Wet Surf
- Guests are required to complete a Medical Form prior to arrival, which will be sent via email
- Lessons take place in all weather and surf conditions providing it is safe. If the instructors deem the surf is too big or completely flat, or if the conditions are unsafe due to high winds or lightning, Get Wet Surf will reschedule your lesson. If you are unable to make the new lesson time, Get Wet Surf will provide a credit or refund, at their discretion
