‘The Mile High City’ shares the best of metropolis and nature. From wonderful landscapes to world-renowned dining, Denver has it all.

Here, the gorgeous Colorado Rocky Mountains are the backdrop for days of fine-dining, museum hopping and adventuring. Before we start our journey, lay your bags down at your hotel. The cosy and sophisticated Limelight Hotel Denver is located just steps from Union Station, so you can travel with ease. Once you have settled in, kick start your stay with dinner at the French restaurant Chez Maggy – a local favourite for fondue and champagne – and toast to a few fabulous days in Denver!

Did champagne at dinner lead to a night discovering live music and cocktail bars? Not to worry, today we are taking it slow with a leisurely visit to Denver Art Museum and art precinct - just a 30-minute walk, quick bus ride or a 10-minute drive. At the Denver Art Museum, spend time admiring thousands of contemporary and age-old masterpieces from across the world. The cities other enticing art establishments worth checking out include: History Colorado Center, Clyfford Still Museum, Kirkland Museum of Fine & Decorative Art and Molly Brown Museum.

After feasting your eyes on exceptional artwork, its time for lunch. Head to YumCha and nibble on delectable Asian fare before heading to The Beer Spa by taxi or Uber which is only a 10 minute drive for some (unorthodox) chill time. Some Europeans believe that beer has renewing qualities that enhance skin, nourish hair and detox the body. At The Beer Spa you can put that theory to the test. Bathe in beer-infused waters with a craft brew, kombucha or cider in hand and unwind with massages and infrared treatments. If you’re looking for a more traditional way to sample the region’s best distilled and fermented products, guided brewery tours and self-guided distillery tastings are some of the most lively and popular Denver activities.

Keep the good vibes going into dinner at SuperMegaBien, a lively hotspot for tapas-style Latin American food and ice-cold cocktails.

Take a short 20 minute drive from Denver to Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre. This naturally formed arena hosts mesmerising live performances with guests from U2 to symphony orchestras. Ensure you visit in the morning as it closes to the public on concert days by 2.30pm.

If you think of Red Rocks Park as just a beautiful place to see a concert, think again! All around you are 738 total acres of deer, dinosaurs, pines and prairie, geological wonders and spectacular vistas. At 6,450 feet above sea level, Red Rocks Park is a unique transitional zone where the Great Plains meet the Rocky Mountains. The diverse environment allows visitors to see plants, birds and animals of both regions. Red Rocks Amphitheatre is a geological phenomenon – the only naturally-occurring, acoustically perfect amphitheatre in the world. If you have the time make sure to do the Red Rocks Park Trading Post Trail it is a nice easy hike through 10 of the parks famous red rock formations.

For dinner tonight, Tavernetta restaurant is the place to go - featuring fresh handmade Italian cuisine and conveniently located in the Limelight Hotel. Or dine at Union Station, a short 5 minute walk away, where you’ll find a range of award-winning restaurants, all under one roof.
