After breakfast, set out for the southwestern tip of the Cape Peninsula, following a coastal route that winds past Sea Point, Camps Bay and the striking Twelve Apostles range. In Hout Bay, a quiet fishing village tucked between cliffs, there’s time for an optional boat ride to Seal Island to spot Cape Fur Seals (at own expense).
The journey continues through the Cape Point Nature Reserve, where wildlife such as baboons, Cape Mountain zebra and bontebok roam among the fynbos-covered slopes. Keep an eye out for tortoises and rare birds as you explore this rugged headland. Pass along False Bay on the return drive, stopping at Simon’s Town to visit the Boulders Beach penguin colony (at own expense) and then continue through the coastal village of Fish Hoek.
Today, explore South Africa’s Cape Winelands on a full-day tour. Known for its crisp white wines and French-style reds, the settlements of Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch offer renowned dining and scenic vineyards for expert food and wine pairings.
Begin in Paarl, set against the valley where President Mandela was released from Groot Drakenstein Prison. Visit a local estate for a wine tasting and a tour of the cellar facilities.

Take the rest of the afternoon to relax before enjoying dinner with your Namibian guide and tour group.
Travel time: Flight – approx. two hours
Start with an early breakfast at the hotel before departing Windhoek for Sesriem, a remote desert settlement known as the gateway to the towering red dunes of Sossusvlei and the dramatic Sesriem Canyon, carved by centuries of rare floodwaters.

Wake for breakfast before venturing into Sossusvlei. The early morning light casts deep shadows and rich hues across the towering red sand dunes, some reaching up to 300 metres.
Explore the ghostly ‘Deadvlei’, a clay pan cracked and bleached by the sun and dotted with the skeletal remains of ancient camelthorn trees thought to be around 900 years old. These blackened trees, long dead yet perfectly preserved by the arid climate, stand like sentinels, their contorted forms casting sharp shadows across the barren earth.
Return to camp for the remainder of the day, you may like to cool off with a dip in the pool before joining your group for dinner.
Travel time: Driving – approx. five hours

Check into your hotel, situated right on the beachfront, for an evening at leisure.
Travel time: Driving – approx. seven hours
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, before a full day in Swakopmund at your leisure. Spend the day exploring its charming colonial streets, relaxing at the beach or perhaps you may like to choose an optional activity (surcharges apply), with a driver ready to transfer you to an adventure of your choosing.

Speed across massive sand dunes on a hour-long quad bike adventure, or unveil the hidden wildlife of the Namib Desert alongside fascinating geology on a Living Desert dune drive.
After breakfast, depart Swakopmund for Twyfelfontein, a remote region in Namibia’s Kunene area. In the afternoon, a guided tour will take you through the area’s main highlights including one of Africa’s richest collections of rock art, created over 6,000 years ago by Stone Age hunter-gatherers who were drawn to the natural spring in the Huab Valley. Surrounded by sandstone cliffs and desert plains, the area features more than thirty sacred sites, offering a remarkable window into ancient spiritual life.
Back at camp, sit down for dinner before enjoying a restful evening.
Travel time: Driving – approx. five hours

On arrival, a ranger will greet you for a short road transfer to Cresta Mowana Safari Lodge & Spa, located on the banks of the Chobe River. Once checked in, the rest of the day is flexible, with a variety of included activities available to choose from. A suggested introduction to the region is an afternoon boat cruise along the Chobe River, where elephants wade through the shallows, hippos wallow in pods, and predators stalk the banks. The cruise is timed to coincide with sunset, when golden light floods the riverfront and wildlife gathers in spectacular numbers.
Travel time: Flight – approx. one hour
Rise early to catch a game viewing in Chobe National Park at first light, with early-morning drives in open 4x4 vehicles led by expert guides who track wildlife through the park’s riverfront plains and woodland.
After time to relax at the lodge during the heat of the day, you can head out again in the late afternoon as animals return to the water and predators become more active. Just under two hours from Victoria Falls, Chobe is one of southern Africa’s premier wildlife reserves, known for its immense elephant herds and large concentrations of buffalo, zebra, and antelope, often followed by lions, hyenas, and leopards.
