• Infants aged 0–4 years are free of charge, but must be carried in a backpack
• This tour involves an 11km return walk, which requires a moderate level of fitness. There are some areas where terrain is rocky or rough underfoot and wet weather may make these conditions more challenging
• Tours operate in most weather conditions. Please prepare accordingly
• Maximum group size is 12 people with one Trips & Tramps guide. More than one trip may be operating on the day
• Visitors travelling from Te Anau should allow at least 2.5 hours to travel to Milford Sound. Please note there is no mobile phone coverage once leaving Te Anau
• Multiple car parking options are available at Milford Sound. The main car park is located at the visitor centre. Prices start from NZ$20 and payment is by credit card only. Free parking is available on Deepwater Basin Road, a 30-minute walk from the visitor terminal.
• Children must be supervised by adults at all times
