Cross the swing bridge into a spectacular Beech Forest ideal for spotting rare birds including New Zealand’s smallest bird, the rifleman. Important:

  • This tour is an all weather activity and rain jackets can be supplied. Tours operate all year round, track conditions permitting
  • The trail is moderately paced with slight gradients, a basic level of fitness is required
  • Standard vehicles seat a maximum of six passengers and you may be sharing a vehicle with other passengers outside of your group
  • Option to upgrade to a smaller vehicle with the maximum capacity of four passengers, please select this option at the time of booking
  • Infants under 4 years old are free of charge, please mention at the time of booking
  • Child and booster seats are available on request, please mention at the time of booking
  • Please advise of any dietary requirements at time of booking
  • Please allow 10 hours for this experience, including travel time
