• Available every day: Departures at 9am–12.30pm or 2pm–5.30pm (approximately). Tours are subject to river conditions
• Pick-up/Drop-off point: Return transfers available from Port Douglas and Mossman
  • Port Douglas: Return transfers from all major Port Douglas accommodations are included. Please advise of your hotel location at time of booking. There may be times where you will be asked to meet close by at an alternative location
  • Mossman: George Davis Park Mossman, in front of the toilet block (under the giant trees) Bookings valid to 31 May 2025

Important:

• From Port Douglas, the tour takes approximately 3.5 return including transfers. The tour aims to spend up to two hours in the river, but this can vary based on group size. Smaller groups may finish earlier, based on reduced time taken for pick-ups/getting ready
• Back Country Bliss Adventures highly recommend having your own travel insurance
• Participant Requirements:
  • When the river level is low (most of the year), this activity is generally suitable for all ages (4+) and swimming abilities. When the river level is higher, the faster flowing water is only suitable for strong swimming adults (15+) with good fitness and mobility
  • Maximum weight limit is 120kg/264lb, due to equipment limitations. If you are over this weight limit, it may be allowed but please contact Back Country Bliss Adventures prior to booking
  • Not suitable for guests with limited mobility. Guests must be able to walk over uneven surfaces and you may need to climb over tree roots to exit the river.
  • Guests must be able to swim confidently and tread water without assistance
  • Not suitable for anyone who is pregnant
  • Maximum shoe size US 13
  • All participants are required to complete a medical questionnaire and liability release form
  • For safety reasons, some medical conditions, disabilities or impairments may exclude participants from the River Drift tour. If the guides deem it unsafe for you to participate, you will not be able to continue on the tour and refunds cannot be guaranteed

Terms & Conditions:

• Itinerary is subject to change depending on availability, weather and road conditions
• Minimum numbers apply for tour to proceed. If a tour fails to satisfy minimum numbers, the trip may be cancelled or rescheduled
• Tour routes and itinerary may change or be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to weather conditions, hazards or equipment issues
• Refunds, partial or full, do not apply if any tour components were possible but guests choose not to proceed, or were ineligible due to failure to meet requirements

Cancellation Policy:

• Cancellations made more than 72 hours before departure date: no cancellation fees apply
• Cancellations within 48-72 hours of departure date: 50% cancellation fee applies
• Cancellations less than 48 hours of departure date, late arrivals and no-shows: 100% cancellation fee applies
• Rain can influence the safety and overall enjoyment of this tour. If the vendor cancels a trip, any monies will be refunded in full

Changes to Booking:

• 48 hours’ notice is required to change a booking you have made
• All changes are subject to availability and made at the discretion of the operator
