The Lodge — Adults-only bliss on the Hawkesbury River
Escape to the wild at Marramarra Lodge, where life’s little luxuries can be enjoyed among some of NSW’s most verdant native landscapes. Perched on Fisherman’s Point, across from Bar Island, this luxe retreat benefits from an island-like setting, with the shimmering Hawkesbury River stretching out in every direction.
Explore the iconic waterway via kayak, canoe or stand-up paddleboard, or discover Marramarra National Park on foot, spotting Wollemi pines, lyrebirds, goannas, kookaburras and Indigenous rock carvings along the way. Iyora Day Spa will be waiting to ease weary muscles when you return, with a suite of rejuvenating massages, facials and body treatments that use the LaGaia range. If immersing yourself in nature’s playground wasn’t enough, the lodge is also home to an outdoor pool, indoor gym and games room.
Make your stay oh-so-memorable by adding a local experience or two into the itinerary – from fishing to cultural tours, the Hawkesbury region is bursting with significant sights, smells and sounds. The lodge team can arrange everything from private tours of nearby Bar Island and walks with a local Dharug Elder to mud crabbing, fishing trips and even helicopter rides to the Hunter Valley for lunch and a wine masterclass (charges apply). Transfers can also be arranged to water-access-only restaurants such as Berowra Waters Inn.
