Holiday like the rich and famous sailing on your very own private catamaran around one of Australia's most beautiful treasures - Queensland's dreamy Whitsundays and the famous Great Barrier Reef.
Travel until 31 January 2020 with no surcharges! Which means you can take the kids and sail during school holidays for the family trip of a lifetime.
As captain of your own ship, you can enjoy the luxury and freedom of creating your own itinerary. The ocean is your oyster with 74 beautiful Whitsunday islands waiting to be discovered, not to mention the incredible UNESCO World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef which is teeming with tropical fish, turtles, dolphins and even whales (during whale season) ready to swim alongside you. Sail during whale season (June to early September) and experience these beautiful, majestic creatures up close as they swim and breech beside your private catamaran.
Haven’t sailed before? That’s no problem – you’ll be provided with a full briefing before departure, with options to take up additional sailing training for novices, giving you absolute confidence to skipper this charter holiday yourself.
The Highlights – Create your own itinerary
Sail through the Great Barrier Reef and tick one of the 'Seven Wonders of the World' off your bucket list. Invest in an underwater camera to capture the incredibly colourful fish and stunning coral formations of the reef's remarkable ecosystem.
Schedule your sailing adventure around the time of the year that suits you. November to February offers the best sailing conditions; April through June for the mildest conditions; or choose to witness the spectacular whale-watching season from June to August – the calm and protected waters of the Whitsundays create the ideal environment for Humpback and Pilot whales (and occasional Migaloo) to give birth to their young, as a result, magnificent whale sightings are extremely common. Winter in the Whitsundays' is still wonderfully warm.
Create your own menu and have your provisions delivered right to your boat by Whitsunday Provisioning or pick up your provisions from the local Coles, IGA or Woolworths - there's also a bottle shop conveniently located in the same building! While on your trip you can catch your own meals each day and cook up a feast in the onboard kitchen. Picture yourself with a cool drink in hand as you cast a line waiting to catch the night's feast!
Want more than six days (five nights) to explore the 74 islands? Purchase two packages and book back to back dates and we'll give you one additional night FREE! That's 11 nights/12 days of sailing through paradise (see 'Fine Print' for more information).
