Alila Jabal Akhdar Resort: I can’t fault this place! Everything was perfect. All the staff is super friendly and courteous, the hotel is beautiful, the weather is perfect, the food was fabulous and the service was beyond great! We had a dinner on the Cliff and it was just amazing. We were there during Ramadan so there were no food or drinks by the pool which is understandable of course. We’re definitely coming back again this summer for a longer stay as the weather is perfect!

Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa: This place is placed perfectly next to the Gulf of Oman. It provides fantastic views at sunrise and sunset. The rooms boasted comfortable beds and great sanitary conditions in the bathroom. The hotel has free access to a fantastic buffet that carries international foods and desserts that are dreamy. The multiple shops provide all you need and a small history of Oman. The beach is a sandy wonderland but boils up quickly in the day and is worth a visit at night. The pools stretch across the front of the coast and provide a needed cool down. The lazy river provides access to the other hotel further down the beach. The sea provides great snorkelling to see multiple coloured fish and clear blue waters. The activities are varied from simple kayaking to scuba diving to other sports such as tennis. It is worth the stay for at least a weak.

Desert Nights Camp: A really unique experience being out amongst the dunes – even the road getting there was different and we had a great dune bashing drive on the way in with our Tour guide. Our room was lovely, and set well apart from the other rooms. It was very hot so the air conditioning was welcome. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the live music at dinner time and sitting outside under the stars. We were taken up onto the tops of the sandunes to watch the sunset, which was a worthwhile experience, even if the sunset itself was not particularly spectacular.
