Spending time in a rural lakeside estate with sweeping views promises bespoke luxury and plenty of outdoor adventures – and a stay at Mt Cook Lakeside Retreat, High Country Estate & Luxury Villa Collection is the perfect place to connect with nature and treat yourself. Enjoy a picturesque 40-minute drive along the lake’s shoreline to the Aoraki Mount Cook National Park and explore the various hikes on offer, book a scenic flight and trek the ancient glacier near Tasman Lake. The hotel is located approximately a 3.5-hour drive from Queenstown International Airport (ZQN). Airport transfers are not included in your package, please plan accordingly.

  • Guests may choose between daily cooked breakfast or fresh breakfast provisions delivered directly to their villa each morning.
  • Picnic hamper lunch includes lunch wraps, almond friands, fresh fruits, cheeses, cured meats, sourdough rolls and sparkling wine.
  • The hamper can be delivered in-villa or to various locations around the property grounds.
  • Dinner includes a six-course chef’s tasting menu (Thursday–Monday) or a three-course dinner served in-villa (Tuesday–Wednesday).
  • Dinner is available from 6pm–9pm.
  • The included food credit must be used during your stay.
  • Any unused credit will be forfeited and is not transferable or redeemable for cash.

7-Day Change of Mind ‘No Questions Asked’ Refund Guarantee: Things don’t always work out. Our 7-day Change of Mind Guarantee is there to help. Bookings (except for cruise bookings, flights and deposit fee, if applicable, which are subject to the cancellation terms of the relevant supplier) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days prior to the check-in date. Excludes flight and service fee, if applicable.

  • Cancellations outside of the 7-Day Change of Mind period will not be provided, except as required by Australian Consumer Law, your local law or as otherwise provided for in the Fine Print.

Flexible Cancellation: You can cancel your booking for credit up until 21 days prior to the original check-in date. This can be done via self-service in your ‘My Escapes’ account. Your credit will be valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation. Credits are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Excludes service fee, if applicable.
