Day 1: Melbourne/Sydney - Hanoi (-/ -/ -)
Xin chao! Welcome to Hanoi, Vietnam. You are greeted by your guide and driver at Noi Bai International airport for your transfer to Hanoi City

Day 2: Cooking demo - Hanoi City’s Highlights (B/ L/ -)
After breakfast, you will be transfer to a local family, where the host will take you to the local market nearby to visit and buy some ingredients for the cooking demonstration.
She then will instruct you to make some nice traditional dishes and carving some fruite. You will also have chance to discover her garden and story about the village while having lunch together.
After lunch, we say farewell to the host and start an afternoon tour around the city
You will head out to Ba Dinh Square to visit The Presidential Palace (formerly Palace of the Governor-General of French Indochina), Ho Chi Minh’s house-on-stilt and nearby One Pillar Pagoda.
Following is a visit to the Temple of Literature – the first university of Vietnam built in 11th century.
You then drive to Hanoi Center, explore the lively Old Quarter of Hanoi. This bustling heart of Hanoi has been a commercial centre since King Ly Thai Tobuilt his palace there in the 11th century. Skilled craftsmen started to migrate and artisan guilds were formed on the famous "36 Streets". Previously, each street carried the name of the item produced and sold there, and many still have the same names. This is a place you must see to experience Hanoi, where you will find shopping and cultural/historical sites all wrapped into one.
Overnight in Hanoi

Day 3: Hanoi – Lao Cai – Sapa on new highway (B/ L/ D)
After breakfast, you will transfer by bus on the new highway from Hanoi to Lao Cai and then reach to Sapa town at around 1300pm. (Estimated 4.5 hours of driving in total: Hanoi – Lao Cai takes 3.5 hours/ Lao Cai – Sapa takes 1 hour)
Lunch to be served at local restaurant then you could check-in hotel and have a short rest
In the mid-afternoon, you will visit to Cat Cat village to study about the local ethnic culture and daily life
After that, you will visit the French Catholic church and walk along the town for a while before getting back to your hotel for dinner and night
Overnight in Sapa
Day 4: Hill tribe villages– Night train to Hanoi (B/ L/ -)
Today you will have a soft trek along a buffalo trails to visit villages of Lao Chai and Ta Van. You have great chance to visit the ethnic families, seeing their nice terraced fields..
Lunch to be at a local restaurant on the way
In the afternoon, you will hike to Ham Rong Mountain where you will have a great view over the town and villages.
Drive to Lao Cai Station in the late afternoon to take the night train to Hanoi

Day 5: Hanoi – Ninh Binh- Trang An (B/ L/ -)
Arriving Hanoi in the early morning. Your guide will take you a tour around the morning flower market at Quang Ba village. Here thousands of flowers from all over the country and imported from others are gathering before being delivered to the shops.
You then have breakfast at a local noodle shop before heading out to Ninh Binh with 2 hours of driving and start with Hoa Lu, which was the capital of the Dinh and Early Le dynasties in Vietnam in the 10th and 11th century. Its palaces, pagodas, tombs and pavilions built by different dynasties will bring you to a few imperial capitals of the country in the ancient and medieval eras.
End the day by boat trip through the caves of Trang An which has been listed as a UNESCO Heritage. A boating journey will take you through karts landscape, varied caves,and green trees in fresh air will amaze you
Overnight in Ninh Binh
Day 6:NinhBinh – Halong Bay (B/ L/ D)
Breakfast at hotel before heading out to Ha Long Bay with about 4 hours of driving, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In Ha Long you will board your luxury Au Co cruise for the 3 day – 2 night cruise program
The first day of your cruise provides an introduction to the amazing scenery of Halong Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay. Cruising through Halong Bay will literally take your breath away.
Depart from Tuan Chau, meet the on board team and receive a safety briefing. Acquaint yourself with the five elements cuisine with lunch on board, while The Au Co cruises leisurely towards to Vung Ha area. First, visit the beautiful Vung Ha beach for swimming and water acitivities.
Back to The Au Co to join a Cooking demonstration then enjoy Happy Hour with “Buy One Get One Free”: Beer, House wine (by the glass), Soft drinks, Long drinks, Cocktails
Savour our five elements signature dinner of Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water. After that, you could relax with a drink at Lan Ha bar or enjoy squid fishing from the main deck
The boat will anchor for the night in a peaceful location.
Overnight on Au Co Cruise
Day 7: Halong Bay (B/ L/ D)
Start the day with Tai Chi - physical movements designed for relaxation, balance and health - on the sundeck of the boat while enjoying the panorama.
After breakfast on board, visit the VungVieng by rowing traditional bamboo boats for about 01 hour.
Then, come back to the boat and take a tour of the Captain's Bridge and the Engine Room. After that, savour a delicious lunch in the Halong Restaurant while the ship cruises towards Lan Ha Bay and Cat Ba Island for a guided biking or hiking excursion in the national park of Cat Ba Island and visit of The Au Co Organic Farm. Another option for visiting the island and the organic farm is to use the electric trolley service available (at a bit of extra cost). After that, kayak and swim in Viet Hai Lagoon.
Back to The Au Co to enjoy an extended Happy Hour for two hours (half price drinks). Try the barbeque buffet in the restaurant while the boat is at anchor.
The day ends with a drink at Lan Ha bar or join our crew and try squid fishing on the deck.
Last but not least for the day, join our kitchen staff for a fun fruit carving sessions.

Day 8: Halong Bay – Hanoi (B/ -/ -)
Halong Bay, designated a UNESCO world heritage site for its limestone rock formations, is home to about 2,000 isles and islets of different shapes and sizes, creating a truly breath-taking seascape. Halong Bay is also attractive for beautiful beaches on the small islands. Awake early and join the Tai Chi session on the sundeck or enjoy the breath-taking views of the bay while The Au Co cruises leisurely in Halong Bay.
On the way back to port, enjoy breakfast and take a last glimpse of the beautiful scenery from the bar or sundeck. Then, participate in a guided tour of Sung Sot (Surprise) Cave.
After breakfast, prepare for check out: your bags must be put in the corridor. You can also join a Vietnamese traditional tea ceremony. Finally, the ship disembarks in Tuan Chau and return to Hanoi with 4 hours of driving
