Eat: The big bucks

Let’s face it, Vegas is expensive. The price tag for any Vegas jaunt is going to be hefty so why not go big or go home by dining at some of Las Vegas’ best restaurants?

Joël Robuchon: This place has three Michelin stars. Three! Serving delicate French dishes in an intimate dining setting, Joël Robuchon is a far cry from the slightly garish eateries you may expect in Vegas. Dress in your best formal get-up for a tasting menu of Oscetra caviar with crustacean gelée, Maine lobster with sliced turnip, frog leg kadaif fritter with red miso, and more.

Le Cirque: A colourful French dining experience awaits a Le Cirque (picture above) where a ten-course tasting menu will set you back $350 each. Expect innovate, yet delicate dishes such as the Maryland blue crab with Russian Osetra caviar, and the chocolate ball with white chocolate ice cream and hazelnut crunch.

Wing Lei: Combing Western and Chinese flavours, Wing Lei is a beautiful Michelin-starred restaurant that features lavish gold and jewel-toned decor. A masterful mix of Cantonese, Shanghai and Szechuan flavours, you’ll be treated to delicacies like tableside-carved Imperial Peking duck, mu shu pork and wok-fried Maine lobster.

Sleep: On the Strip

Can you even say you’ve been to Vegas if you haven’t stayed at one of the hotels on the strip? Who knows, but here’s our pick of the top hotels on the Las Vegas strip.

Party with friends at ARIA: A place for celebrating your last few days before getting married or a milestone birthday, expect a good time at Aria. Aside from a sprawling casino, the hotel also features multiple dining venues including Jean Georges Steakhouse and the soon-to-be-open Catch which is already a Hollywood and NYC hotspot.

Splash the cash at Bellagio: As the most iconic hotel on the Las Vegas strip, you’ll be spending the $$$ if you want to stay at this world favourite. The hotel’s Presidential Suite will set you back at least $5k a night and features its own solarium, indoor garden with fountain, fireplace and L-shaped bar. Plus, if you’ve got a spare US$250k you can choose the song and even push the button to start those famous Bellagio dancing fountains.

Take the family to MGM Grand Hotel & Casino: A Las Vegas old-timer, the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino is one of the most iconic hotels on the strip. Perfect for families, the hotel boasts a humungous 6.6-acre, five-pool leisure complex complete with waterfalls, cave-like grottos and a lazy river. Inside the hotel, you’ll find multiple restaurants that will suit even the fussiest little eaters, as well as family friendly shows like David Copperfield and Cirque du Soleil.

Party: Like a rockstar

Las Vegas hosts some of the most epic parties in the world with celebrity DJs flocking into the desert to perform for the masses.

Jewel Nightclub at Aria: Over 24,000 square feet of pure revelry awaits at Jewel Nightclub. This ultra-hot nightclub attracts Las Vegas visitors looking to dance until the early hours with world-class DJs and performers including Kaskade, Steve Aoki and Lil John.

OMNIA Nightclub: If you’re a fan of Calvin Harris, you can catch him in the flesh at OMNIA Nightclub where he regularly performs for crowds of adoring fans. Book a VIP table for the best seat in the house and your own private spot to enjoy an amazing night out.

Encore Beach Club: You’ll find one of Vegas’ hottest pool parties at the Wynn hotel where artists like David Guetta, Diplo, Alesso, Major Lazer and The Chainsmokers have played for crowds of bikini-clad beauties. For an extra VIP experience, reserve one of the club’s 26 cabanas.
