One of Bali’s most loved resorts, Pan Pacific Nirwana, is set to close its doors for the final time on 31 July 2017 to make way for a lavish new Trump resort, and ahead of its demolition Luxury Escapes is giving Australians one final chance to stay there at ‘demolition sale’ prices.

The Jakarta-based owners of the property, PT MNC Land Tbk, have announced the imminent razing of the resort ahead of construction commencing on a new “ultra-luxury Trump 6-star resort and a destination beach club boasting 360 degrees of sheer cliff glamour”. This will be the first Trump resort in Bali and only the second in Asia after MNC Lido City in West Java.

Over its 20 year history, Pan Pacific Nirwana has played host to government officials, foreign royalty and even the Miss World Contest and when its final guests check out on July 31, the resort will have welcomed more than three million holidaymakers, a third of these from Australia.

Luxury Escapes General Manager, Blake Hutchison, said Pan Pacific Nirwana had consistently been among the top five Bali destinations purchased by its one million members and would be sorely missed by many.

“All good things must come to an end and after 20 extraordinary years, three million guests and close to 1000 weddings, it’s come time to say goodbye to this very special Bali icon,” Mr Hutchison said.

“In becoming a much loved favourite, Pan Pacific Nirwana has made a huge contribution to positioning Bali as a high-end destination and introducing thousands of holidaymakers to the Indonesian island.”

Ahead of its impending closure, Luxury Escapes is offering its members the final chance to stay at the resort at a ‘demolition sale’ price of $699 per person (twin share) for an all-inclusive five night stay and kids stay free. The offer is valued at $1889 and comes with all the luxe extras including VIP private airport pick-up, all meals, daily cocktails, spa treatments.

“We anticipate the final few rooms will be snapped up fast, potentially by some of the estimated one million Australians that have stayed at the resort before and are keen to visit one last time,” Mr Hutchison said.

When the resort first opened in November 1997 under the Le Meridien Hotels and Resorts banner it was billed as Bali’s first fully integrated resort development, combining a 278-room five-star resort, residential estate and 18-hole signature golf course, designed by legendary golfer, Greg Norman.

The resort, which was subsequently taken over by Pan Pacific Hotels Group in 2010 is nestled on 103 hectares of natural landscape along Bali’s magnificent south coast in the Tabanan region, with breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean and the iconic Tanah Lot Temple.

According to the property owners, the “award-winning Nirwana Golf Club will be redeveloped into a world-class golf course surrounded by an exclusive collection of super luxury villas and mansions as well as high-end resort condominiums”.
