Lotte Arai Resort is just two hours’ drive from Niigata Airport (KIJ) or a two-hour bullet train ride to Joetsumyoko Station from Tokyo. Airport transfers are not included in your package; please plan accordingly.

7-Day Change of Mind ‘No Questions Asked’ Refund Guarantee: Things don’t always work out. Our 7-day Change of Mind Guarantee is there to help. Bookings (except for Tour bookings and flights) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days prior to the check-in date.

Flexible Cancellation: You can cancel your booking for Luxury Escapes credit up until 21 days prior to the original check-in date. This can be done via self-service in your ‘My Escapes’ account. Your Luxury Escapes credit will be valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation. Credits are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

Please note this does not apply to flights booked with Luxury Escapes. Flight fulfilment is provided by the airline(s) selected at the time of finalising the booking. For your air travel, you are bound by the terms and conditions and fare rules of the selected airline(s).

Date Changes: If you need to amend your booking, you can self-service unlimited date changes in your ‘My Escapes’ account up until 21 days before your original check-in date. If you can’t find a suitable date, or still need further assistance, please contact our 24/7 customer service team. Subject to availability and surcharges.

Please Note:

• Dining inclusions do not include drinks (unless otherwise stated). Menus are subject to change without notice.
• The included lift pass offers economy access through the standard automated ticket gate.
• Pool access is permitted between 10am and 9pm (final admission at 8pm). After 6pm on weekdays, only the indoor pool is available. The Outdoor Garden Pool is only operated during the summer season. Guests under 3 years of age are not permitted to use the pool. Swimwear rental is not available.
• The onsen is open for use from 6.30am to 10am (final admission at 9am) and 1pm to 11pm (final admission at 10pm) on weekdays, and 6.30am to 10am (final admission at 9am) on weekends. Children under 6 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
• The Lotte Arai Playground is open from 10am to 1pm (final admission at 12pm) and 1.30pm to 5pm (final admission at 4pm). Guests must be aged 4 or above, measure at least 100cm in height and weigh under 100 kg. Children under 6 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Socks are required when using rental shoes. Please bring your own socks, as the resort does not offer rentals. Only specialised bouldering shoes may be brought into the facility. Sneakers and slippers are strictly prohibited for safety reasons. Shoes can be rented for JPY500 per person. Reservations are not required. Please note, the playground is operating with limited numbers.
• Advanced shuttle bus bookings are essential and must be made at least 24 to 48 hours prior to arrival. Pick up at Myoko Joetsu Station West Exit. Delays or changes may occur due to road conditions or weather. The shuttle timetable can be found here.
• Lotte Arai gift is a choice between a hoodie, cap or T-shirt.
• Ski hire is available from Salomon station, located in the village.
• To qualify for JPY20,000 cash back on a fifth spa treatment during your stay, four full-price purchases must be made.
