Important:

• Fitness requirements may apply for various routes on the walk
• Kings Canyon Rim Walk is a difficult walk with a Grade 4. A high level of fitness is required for Kings Canyon Rim Walk and this 6 km hike will not be suitable for all guests. The first 30-minute incline is considered “Difficult”. Your guide will offer guests an easier alternative along the creek walk for those who are unable to proceed
• A low level of fitness is required for Kings Canyon Creek Bed Walk (alternative option). You may wish to take this easier, shorter walk to explore the boulder-strewn canyon floor with your guide
• Participants aged under 18 must be accompanied by a person aged 18+
• Note: During the hotter months of the year when temperatures can reach and exceed 36° C or 97° F, the Watarrka National Park Rangers strongly advise that visitors do not take part in the Kings Canyon Rim Climb. In this drier desert climate heat exhaustion, over these hotter months, is a very high possibility and a danger in such remote regions. To ensure the safety and enjoyment of participants, a guided walk along the Kings Canyon Creek Bed is offered as the alternative
• Meals and drinks are not included. Please ensure to bring your own water bottle (minimum 3 litres recommended for Rim Walk; 1.5 litres for Creek Bed Walk)
