What is Société?
Société (pronounced ‘Society’) is a Luxury Escapes loyalty program that rewards repeat customers with points, perks, and special benefits.
How can I join Société?
All new members who join Luxury Escapes automatically become part of Société. Pre-existing members will have the opportunity to opt in for free with a few clicks.
Is membership free?
Yes, membership is completely free. Members enjoy the benefits of Société Membership at no cost.
What are the benefits of joining Société?
Société allows you to earn and use points on all Luxury Escapes bookings.
There are four tiers of Société membership, each offering different benefits. As you progress through the levels, you will gain access to exclusive travel benefits such as free room upgrades, luxury airport transfers, and airport lounge access.
You can also use your points to pay for future bookings.
What is the difference between points and Status Credits?
Luxury Escapes points are rewards, which you can use for discounted travel bookings. Status Credits are used to progress into higher tiers and enhance your travel experience with benefits like upgrades and exclusive services.
How do I earn points and Status Credits?
You will earn points on all your travel purchases across Luxury Escapes, whether online, in-store, or via phone (excluding only gift cards, service, and merchant fees).
You can earn Status Credits on hotel stays, flights, cruises, and tours purchased through Luxury Escapes.
The points and Status Credits you earn vary based on the offer.
When will points be awarded?
Points are awarded on the checkout date of your trip. They will remain in ‘pending status’ from purchase until trip completion.
How can I check my points and Status Credit balances?
Visit the “My Account” section on our website or app.
Do points and Status Credits expire?
Points will remain valid unless there is no activity for a 36-month period. Each time you earn, redeem, or purchase a gift card, your account balance is refreshed for another 36 months.
Status Credits and the number of nights required to move up tiers reset each membership year.
Can I use my points for flights, hotels, or both?
Yes, you can use your points for both flights and hotels. If you don’t have enough points, you can use “Points to Pay”, part-paying with points and cash.
We aim to maximise the value of your points, especially when used across multiple products (e.g. hotels and flights).
Can I use my points for upgrades (e.g., business class flights or room upgrades)?
Yes, you can. If you don’t have enough points, you can part-pay with points and cash.
Can I use my points to book directly with other airlines or hotel chains?
Not currently. All points you earn through Société must be used on the Luxury Escapes website.
Is Société the same as LuxPlus+? What are the differences?
Société rewards you for spending across Luxury Escapes, with no cost for joining. As you progress through the tiers, you gain exclusive travel benefits. Click here for more details.
LuxPlus+ is a paid subscription offering exclusive discounts on specific products.
We encourage you to join both to access the exclusive discounts and travel benefits with every booking.
Will I get a loyalty card?
You don’t need one! You can simply access your account by logging into your main Luxury Escapes account.
Do I earn bonus points and Status Credits on specific flights or promotions?
Yes, you can earn bonus points and Status Credits during promotions.
Do I earn points and Status Credits on ancillary services?
You can earn points on ancillary services (LuxPlus+, insurance, optional extras), however you cannot earn Status Credits on them.
Do I earn points and Status Credits on flights with partner airlines?
Yes, as long as you book the flights through Luxury Escapes, you will earn both points and Status Credits.
Hot tip: You can associate your airline or cruise frequent flyer number with your Luxury Escapes booking to “double dip” and earn both Luxury Escapes points and airline/cruise points.
How do I double or triple dip on points?
Link your airline or cruise frequent flyer number with your Luxury Escapes booking to earn both Luxury Escapes points and airline/cruise points.
You can also earn points by paying with a card that offers rewards points.
Can I purchase additional points?
Not currently, but we’ll likely introduce this!
Will I earn points for purchases booked before Société launched?
If you have booked through Luxury Escapes but have not yet completed your trip, you will earn points for your trip upon your return.
What are the different status tiers in the program?
The more you book through Luxury Escapes, the faster you’ll progress from Bronze to Silver to Gold to Platinum! Each tier allows you to enjoy more benefits like complimentary chauffeur service, room upgrades, and lounge access.
How do I qualify for each status tier?
By earning Status Credits and staying a minimum number of nights per membership year, you can unlock exclusive benefits as you move through the tiers.
Status Credits and nights are awarded on the checkout date of your travel. Once awarded, they will immediately count toward tier upgrades.
What are the benefits of each status tier?
The higher your tier, the more benefits you receive.
Do Status Credits and status nights expire?
Yes, they reset at the end of each membership year.
What is a membership year?
A membership year runs for 12-13 months from your join date. For example, if you join on June 10th, 2024, your membership year will run until June 30th, 2025.
Can I use Status Credits and nights booked to upgrade my Société tier?
You need a minimum number of both Status Credits and nights booked to progress to a higher tier. Once awarded, your status will be upgraded immediately.
How does the room upgrade benefit work?
Platinum and Gold members receive complimentary hotel room upgrades, subject to availability and tier allowances.
How do I access my lounge passes and transfer benefits?
You’ll be presented with these benefits during the booking process if available for your tier. If you wish to add them later, please contact customer service.
How can I redeem my points for flights or hotels?
Simply select your travel requirements and use the “Points” payment option. You need a minimum of 2,000 points to redeem. This process is available online, by phone, or in-store.
Can I use a combination of points and cash to book travel?
Yes, you can. Use the points + pay slider to choose how much of each you want to apply.
Can I transfer points to another member?
Not currently, but we will notify you if this changes.
Can I pool or transfer my points between family or friends?
Not currently, but we will notify you if this changes.
Can I redeem my Virgin Velocity points with Luxury Escapes points?
Yes, you can use both types of points in the same transaction by selecting your preferred payment method.
How do I update my account information?
Visit the “My Account” section to update your address, phone number, and email.
What happens if I forget my login credentials?
Use the “Forgot Password” link on the website to reset your credentials.
How do I claim missing points or Status Credits?
Contact our Customer Services team if you believe you’ve missed out on points or Status Credits.
Which airlines and hotels are partners in the program?
Currently, points and Status Credits can only be earned through purchases made via Luxury Escapes. If this changes, we’ll notify you.
How do I redeem an airport lounge pass?
Silver, Gold and Société members receive two free airport lounge passes per year. When booking an overseas holiday with Luxury Escapes (hotel, flight, tour or cruise), you will be able to redeem your free airport lounge passes at checkout when completing your booking. Lounge passes are available at Sydney, Melbourne (Tullamarine), Perth, and Brisbane international airports, as well as select international airports worldwide.
How do I redeem airport transfers?
Gold members receive two free transfers from their home to the airport; Platinum members receive unlimited transfers. When booking an overseas holiday with Luxury Escapes (hotel, flight, tour or cruise), you will be able to redeem your free airport transfer at checkout when completing your booking.
After you have added it to your booking at checkout, a person from our customer service team will be in contact with you to arrange the date and time of your pick up. Please note transfers are only from your home to airport at eligible airports: Sydney, Melbourne (Tullamarine), Perth and Brisbane international airports.
How do I redeem room upgrades?
Gold members receive one free room upgrade per year; Platinum members receive four. Room upgrades are available on-site for select packages across our Limited Time LUX Exclusive hotel deals. To redeem, simply apply the room upgrade when completing your booking of an eligible Limited Time Lux Exclusive hotel deal.
How do I redeem tour optional extra credits?
Silver Société members receive two $100 tour optional extra credits, Gold members receive two $250, and Platinum members two $400. These credits are only available to use when purchasing a Luxury Escapes tour and allow you to save when purchasing a tour optional extra as part of your tour booking. To redeem, call our customer service team when making a tour purchase.
How do I redeem a Travelshoot credit?
Silver, Gold and Platinum Société members receive one $200 Travelshoot credit. To redeem, call our customer service team when making a Travelshoot purchase.
