The team curated by Jeff Klein is the best hospitality team in the US....full stop.Everyone went out of their way to make my month long stay perfect. After the LA fire evacuation, feeling a little stressed, everyone was so kind to me and playful with my big dogs. They went out of their way to accommodate my dogs with special seating in the restaurants and helping me get in and out of the hotel safely. What stands out to me is how effortlessly, everyone treated the hotel guests with respect, kindness and personalized care. l come away not only having a lovely time, also feeling like you've made friends for life. Funny note.....as a guest of the hotel for decades, it just gets better and better. Unique and rare accomplishment. I know I'm going to miss mentioning many people, but please know I appreciate the entire team. Megan and her amazing team at the valet. Always friendly and welcoming and VERY helpful guarding my area as I unloaded the dogs. Ness, John and the team at the front desk. Super helpful and went out of their way to accommodate my daily requests. Special thanks to Ness. Now, the restaurants....what can I say....Mauricio, Barbara, Dimitri, Thomas, Hailey, John, Eric, Tony, Angel, Natasha.....the list goes on and on..thank you for your kindness and extra care with the dogs. So much gratitude for the friendly and outstanding service.

My favorite hotel in Hollywood! If you like old school and privacy, this is your place. The service is untouchable. The staff will bend over backwards to ensure all of your needs are met. One morning they started the coffee 45 minutes early for me. Excellent bar and restaurant right in the Sunset Tower (keep your camera in your pocket as there is a No Photo policy). The location is perfectly placed to easily walk or take a short drive to several other stellar restaurants. Old Hollywood vibe. If you're looking for obnoxious pool parties and jerky people I'd suggest going elsewhere. If you want a classy hotel where they care about their guests, then go to the Sunset Tower.

One of the few places left from an older area that still excludes class and grace. The staff is friendly and top notch. We were able to check in early and received a lovely room upgrade. I absolutely loved the fact that all the beverages and snacks in the room were complimentary (snacks and alcoholic beverages). I’ve never been to a hotel before that didn’t charge for the minibar, so that was really nice. The morning we were checking out, we enjoyed a nice breakfast in the enclosed room. I was in a rush to get to work and everyone was very accommodating and helpful. Throughout my stay, I was able to text the hotel for anything I needed. I would 100% stay here again!

I booked the Townhouse Suite at Sunset Tower Hotel for $2,850 a night, expecting a luxurious and seamless experience for a Galentine’s celebration with my four friends. Instead, the stay was a complete disaster from start to finish. Upon arrival, the front desk agent recognized me from a previous stay on the 15th, when I spent $1,600 in one night. You’d think that level of return business would warrant some kind of appreciation or effort in hospitality—nope, just a cold, impersonal check-in. When I entered the suite, I immediately noticed how hot and stuffy it was. I turned on the AC, assuming it would cool down before my friends arrived, but that never happened. My first friend arrived, and they happened to be trans masc. Valet was rude, rushed them, and didn’t even offer to help with their bag—which is basic service at any halfway decent hotel, let alone one that charges this much per night. As more friends arrived, we started noticing how run-down the suite actually was. The dark wood furniture was chipped and scuffed everywhere—this wasn’t some antique, well-worn charm; it was just beat-up furniture in a so-called luxury suite. Then we realized the guest bathroom door didn’t even close. When we called maintenance, two guys came in, tracked dirt into the room, and fumbled around without actually fixing the issue. Meanwhile, they said they’d have to go to the roof to “try” to fix the AC—hardly reassuring. The final straw was when my fourth friend arrived, and they refused to let her up. They claimed it was “hotel policy,” but I’ve never heard of a guest policy this absurd. I completely understand limits on the number of overnight guests or fire codes restricting how many people can be in a small room. But not allowing a total of five people (including myself) in a 1,700 sq. ft. suite that costs $2,850 per night? That’s just laughable. We pleaded for an exception, considering the size and price of the room, but the staff refused to budge. It was pure power-tripping at its finest, all while we were still sitting in an uncomfortably hot room with broken AC. At this point, we were overheated, frustrated, and completely done with the rude, unaccommodating staff. We decided to check out early and book a villa at the Sunset Marquis instead—where they happily welcomed us, allowed our full group, and even sent a complimentary bottle of champagne to our room. That is how hospitality should be done. Final Verdict: For nearly $3,000 a night, I expected high-end service, a pristine room, and basic hospitality. Instead, I got a stuffy, poorly maintained suite, unprofessional staff, and ridiculous guest policies that made zero sense. I will never be booking at Sunset Tower again, and I highly recommend you spend your money elsewhere—especially if you value service, inclusivity, or just basic comfort.
