All of the staff were amazing- friendly and more than helpful with anything. The restaurant was delicious and room service was quick but tasty with reasonable prices/value. Check in and out were a breeze. Walkable location being a few blocks to Pike Place but a tad further to Space Needle and other areas. The overall decor of the hotel was fun and modern. For the room, everything was clean with a comfortable bed. My biggest complaint is the tv- couldn't connect to Netflix, which I feel is a must for any major hotels. Not many channels to choose from.

“We had a great experience at the Kimpton. From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, especially David! Ensuring that every detail of our stay was perfect. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The location was ideal, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. We will definitely be returning in the future!”

The room itself was clean, and the bed was comfortable. My main issues were that there was not a deadbolt on the inside of the door - only the one that can be unlocked with a key card. As a woman traveling alone, that made me extremely uncomfortable. Also, the walls are incredibly thin. If the person in the room next to you showers, turns on the sink, sneezes, opens a fast food paper bag, you’ll hear it. On a lesser note, there was a makeup colored stain on one of my towels, and because of the shower design, you can’t turn the water on without getting your arm wet. There’s also no bathroom fan. The staff was very nice and super helpful when I needed toothpaste or had questions about the amenities fee. The location is great as far as being close to bus/train stations, Pike Place, and little shops. However, it’s in an area really populated by the homeless and I didn’t feel safe going out in the dark. They followed me onto buses, loiter by the bus stops, and just made the area feel hostile. :( Had I been traveling with someone, I think it would have been fine. The hotel does have you scan your room key to get in the building, which I appreciated. Overall, my stay was decent, especially with what I paid for a flight/stay package that I booked. I probably just wouldn’t rebook.

3.5/5 overall. Location is outstanding, quick walk to pike place and a bunch of restaurants and bars. Quick trolley or Uber to space needle and museum of pop culture. Rooms were fine; older hotel so don’t expect the most modern amenities, but bed was comfortable and housekeeping was good. On site restaurant was very good, and they also have a bar next to the lobby. A couple of negatives: the front desk seemed overwhelmed. Asked for something from the snack bar and the one person manning the front desk said he had to deal with something and left me standing there for ~15 minutes. I have sympathy since it was 1 guy trying to deal with every issue in the hotel, but seems like they could have at least 2 employees in front? Secondly, the valet took ~25 minutes to get our car. We were trying to get to the airport, so that was not ideal. We were only told that the valet "was having an issue with the emergency break" (aka couldn't find it- it was a pedal underneath). Be prepared to pay annoying fees as well-- you get both a sales tax and parking tax for the $55/night parking rate (+$13 per day), and then you need to pay a $26/day "Guest amenity fee" which you are also taxed on (+$4.11). Overall I’d say there’s certainly better managed and newer hotels in Seattle, but if you're looking for a decent stay and a great location, this is a solid choice.
