Rebranded from Daiwa Royal to Accor The areas where sales can be expected will be Grand, and the rest will be Mercure, so the way we put our efforts into renovation is also different (how we spend money). I've been using it since Daiwa Royal, but even though it's a foreign company, each hotel is a joint-stock company. Unlike before, efficiency and prioritizing profits are hidden everywhere. The day I stayed was on a weekday, so it wasn't very busy, so the room was clean. The public bath was empty, and the restaurant had an in-band and tour group, but we had plenty of time even if we went there at 6:30 pm. All Mercure restaurants from different eras of the Royal are concentrated in one buffet venue. 70-80% of the content is the same everywhere, so it's not fun.Also, there are few service staff, so they concentrate on replenishing dishes and bashing the cart, and there are no smiles.What bothers me is that they don't even notice when I put juices, smoothies, water bottles, or hotel water in empty cans. I don't think it's a good idea to use it after that. Also, the shops don't open from the evening until 9pm in the morning, and there aren't many front desks.It would be nice to have an automatic check-in machine if you want to see Mitsui Garden or APA, but I guess that's not possible because the rooms aren't finished during the season. Alcohol cannot be purchased after the concession stand is closed. Alcohol vending machines have been removed since becoming Mercure. A convenience store is nearby. I'd like to at least get a takeaway cup of coffee for breakfast. I went to the convenience store to buy some. It's a shame because I wish the hotel could be more exciting from the customer's perspective.

A Japanese-style room with no meals for families with children. Hamanako Royal Hotel → THE HAMANAKO → Looks like it's currently a French group hotel. I lined up for about 15 minutes at check-in around 4pm and went to the "food court" lounge that I had read about in the reviews. I happened to be able to sit down and enjoy beer and sweets. When I entered the room, I was surprised at how shabby the tatami mats were🥲 There are no straight tatami mats, so they have sunk in? The slanted floor is disgusting💦The hangnails on the tatami also sting, and the table is dirty... 🛏️I was told that the futon would be provided by the guest, but the futon was really thin...and I had to put on the sheets myself, including the comforter...The room itself was quite disappointing. ♨️The public bath is clean and I feel a little relieved. You can enjoy vinegar juice after taking a bath, but depending on the timing, it can get crowded. 👶🏻 Baby food can be heated in the microwave @2F There are no trash cans or bags for diapers in the room. I feel like there were a lot of people with children, or maybe it was just a coincidence, but the families with children were grouped together in a nearby room. I don't think I'll repeat it, but I enjoyed it as entertainment🍺
