Truly incredible. Cayo Levantado is an amazing place for so many reasons. First, the service is unparalleled. Everyone I met during our five day trip was welcoming, incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and very helpful. They have designated assistants that greet you, explain the lay of the resort, lead you to your villa, and communicate on WhatsApp throughout your stay, letting you know about activities for the day, making spa reservations, and breakfast, lunch, and dinner plans every day. So kind! We really enjoyed the help of Ivan, Eddyl, and Angel. Really incredible! Second, the resort is so beautiful and our villa was fantastic. Before we arrived, we didn’t know the geography of the island, but it became clear when walking around. It’s compact, but it doesn’t feel like it, mainly because of the wonderful foliage surrounding you. They have golf carts available whenever you need them, which is awesome, but we mostly chose to walk, and enjoyed exploring the property and seeing all the flowers, plants, and views. You can get to the beach/pool and main pool in less than ten minutes when walking! Second, the food. Wow. We enjoyed our first meal at Senda, and it was unparalleled to any other dining experience. Vladimir, our waiter and host, explained all the courses and educated us about the culture of Dominican food - which was very informative and interesting. When it came to the dinner, each course was fantastic! Honestly, I live in NYC and I’ve never had such amazing food. It was a pleasure to meet the chef, Rodrigo, to compliment him. Bravo! One note: I don’t eat meat, and two of the courses had meat. Vlad quickly asked the kitchen to amend my meal and it was amazing! Really appreciated the service and food all around. Third, the spa. Spectacular. My husband and I enjoyed the Hydrotherapy room for 90 minutes, and it was just incredible. Basically, you have this giant room to yourself with a huge pool with three different experiences: a high powered jet for your back, a waterfall for your shoulders and head, and massage lounges, all in the pool. Then, you have a steam room, sauna room, and cold plunge pool. My favorite was the aromatherapy shower, which was so fun! You walk through a tunnel-esq space with four different experiences. We also got massages and facials, which were top notch. Highly recommend! I could go on and on, but bottom line is we adored this resort. The one caveat we knew about when booking was the long drive from the airport, but Cayo made it very easy to book a private car (really nice, they have WiFi, chargers, and leather seats!) so the drive went by faster than I expected. It was also a great opportunity to see the Dominican Republic outside of a resort, which I really enjoyed. When you reach the destination, you’re greeted with a cocktail of your choice, and then an awesome boat ride to the island! We can’t wait to come back! Thank you to all the staff at Cayo Levantado!

A Dream Vacation at Cayo Levantado – Pure Magic! We’ve been to the Dominican Republic many times, but nothing has came close to our stay at Cayo Levantado. If you’re looking for a place that feels like a private paradise—where stress melts off you like butter—this is it. From the moment we arrived, the level of service was next level. You can tell this place runs on a culture of hospitality, because every single restaurant we visited had incredible service. As fine dining restaurant owners ourselves, we appreciate when a place gets it right—and this place nailed it. A few people really made our trip unforgettable: • Jefris was one of the best servers we’ve ever had. You could feel how much he loved taking care of guests, and that’s rare. • Our ambassadors, Eddyl & Angel, were absolute pros. Anytime we had a question or needed something, they was on it—24/7. They remembered what we liked and made sure everything was perfect. • The gym was fantastic, and Juan, the instructor, was awesome. He made me feel like I was the only person there, always encouraging and helping me stay on track even on vacation. • The whale-watching excursion through the resort was breathtaking. The crew got us close enough to see the whales and their calves while being super respectful of them. • The water flotation therapy was something my wife and me will never forget. The staff helped us fully relax in the water, and it was just… pure peace. And the food? Let’s just say every plate was photo-worthy, but even better, you could taste the passion behind it. The love for the history and culture of the area is woven into everything, making you slow down and just enjoy. This place isn’t a crowded tourist resort—it’s a hidden gem, a real escape. We’re already making plans to come back. If you want a vacation that feels like a luxury dream on a secluded rainforest island, don’t even think twice—just go.
