Opened in 2025, The Hoxton Edinburgh is a design-led hotel spread across 11 restored Georgian townhouses, bringing together original architectural details, local craft and the brand\u2019s distinctly playful character. Set near Haymarket station, it gives you an easy base for exploring Edinburgh<\/a> while offering plenty of reasons to linger indoors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

The hotel\u2019s buildings date back to the 1850s, and their character remains central to the experience. Original features sit alongside playful contemporary interiors, with the design team drawing on the Georgian period for its colours, furniture shapes and decorative details. Scottish craft runs throughout, with local textiles, ceramics and artwork woven into the design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Patatino, the hotel\u2019s Italian restaurant, takes its cues from Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast, then works Scottish produce into the menu. The room is deliberately theatrical, with striped rattan, scalloped tables, hand-painted ceramics and a Baroque-style fountain at its centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The menu leans into pasta, pizza and antipasti, but the most memorable dishes are where the setting meets its Scottish address. Reviews have singled out the haggis and \u2019nduja pizza, as well as the reginette with pork rag\u00f9 \u2013 two dishes that put an Edinburgh<\/a> stamp on the Italian menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For a quieter start or finish to the evening, the Lobby Bar offers plush sofas, small bites and a more informal place to settle in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
