Overwater villas are making their way to the Caribbean for the first time ever, thanks to this luxe new resort in the Bahamas. <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Banyan Tree group, renowned for its properties across Asia, Africa and the Middle East, is set to open its first resort in the\u00a0Caribbean, transforming Bimini in the\u00a0Bahamas\u00a0into a new ‘enclave for the elite’.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set to open in 2025, the 750-acre\u00a0Banyan Tree Bimini Resort & Residences\u00a0marks a significant milestone in the brand’s expansion, with 54 custom waterfront residences, a 50-key five-star hotel with overwater bungalows (the first ever in the Caribbean) and an onsite beach club. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Located on Rockwell Island, 48 nautical miles east of Miami (approximately 30 minutes door-to-door) and accessible by seaplane,\u00a0private charter jet, helicopter or\u00a0boat, the resort promises to marry Maldives-style luxury with eco-consciousness. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
