After an early breakfast at your hotel, greet your transfer at 6.30am to be taken to the Arusha airstrip for a short flight to the Tarangire National Park, renowned for its vast herds of elephants, iconic baobab trees and golden savannahs that stretch as far as the eye can see. As you enter the park, your East African adventure begins immediately, with wildlife sightings along the way to A&K Sanctuary Swala, your exclusive camp set in a private corner of the park.
At A&K Sanctuary Swala, settle into your spacious tent, elegantly furnished with a plush king-sized bed, ensuite bathroom and private deck overlooking a waterhole frequented by elephants, zebras and impalas. After a gourmet lunch at the camp and some time to relax, set out for your first game drive. Keep your camera ready for herds of elephants, kudus, impalas and zebras while keeping your eyes peeled for the elusive leopard stalking its prey. Return to camp in time for some refreshing sundowner drinks, followed by a decadent dinner.

Your day begins with a steaming cup of tea or coffee delivered directly to your tent. The morning is free for you to explore the various activities available at camp, or you may prefer to simply bask in the sounds of the bush that can be heard from your private deck.
Afterwards, a refreshing drink will be served at camp before you head off to a scenic picnic lunch in the bush. In the afternoon, unwind on your private deck, enjoy a chilled drink as you take in the sweeping views of the plains and watch wildlife gather in the shade to escape the midday heat. Later, you may like to join a return trip to Tarangire for an afternoon game drive or simply relax in the infinity pool.
Once back at the lodge, freshen up before gathering around the campfire for a pre-dinner drink, followed by an evening game drive. As the sun sets, embark on a moonlit safari with A&K Sanctuary Swala’s specially equipped vehicle (surcharges apply). This rare experience allows you to spot nocturnal wildlife, including the African wild cat, leopard and bushbaby as well as search for lions, hyenas and smaller creatures like the spotted genet, serval, bat-eared foxes, owls and nightjars.
After breakfast, a transfer will take you to the airstrip for your flight to the Serengeti National Park. As you fly, take in a bird’s-eye view of the endless plains teeming with life. From your landing strip, journey through this UNESCO World Heritage-listed site to A&K Sanctuary Kichakani, a tented camp designed to follow the movements of The Great Migration. Inside, your tent boasts handcrafted furniture, expansive wilderness views and all the modern luxuries you could need for a comfortable stay.
