Wake to the sound of the Southern Ocean once more before a final breakfast on Kangaroo Island. This morning, you’ll be transferred back to the airport for a second private charter flight north towards the famed opal mining town of Coober Pedy.
En route, a flyover of Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre National Park is sure to leave you speechless. Australia’s lowest point – approximately 15 metres below sea level – is a place of desolate beauty where the country’s largest salt lake may transform into a floodplain of shimmering birdlife at any moment. Savour every moment of this exclusive opportunity before your flight pans west towards the opal capital of the world.
Upon arrival in Coober Pedy, prepare for a city tour including an opal mine tour, the spectacular Breakaways, and many more local sights, with a casual local lunch to keep you moving.
Later, board your private plane once more for another flight further north. Keep a lookout for the world-famous sacred site you’ve been waiting for, as Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park comes into view. Landing at Ayers Rock Airport (AYQ), you’ll be transferred to your lodgings at Longitude 131° where you’ll unpack with Uluṟu on the horizon.
