Tamanu Beach Resort is located on Aitutaki Island, around one of the most beautiful, bluest lagoons of the Cook Islands. Crystal-clear waters offer incredible snorkelling and kayaking, while lush tropical foliage makes for dreamy hiking and biking.

The hotel is located an approximately five-minute drive from Aitutaki Airport (AIT). Airport transfers are not included in your package; please plan accordingly.

I recently went to celebrate my brother's 30th birthday..from the time we entered the resort till we departed everything was magical. Great food and awesome staff's. I highly recommend tamanu for their great service.. Can't wait to go again. Cheers

We stayed at Tamanu in November 2023 and absolutely loved it. Stunning location, awesome beach, very friendly and helpful staff, delicious breakfasts and beautiful bungalows. Everything was fantastic. Free usage of the resort's pushbikes was very handy, with convenience stores and eateries within 5-10 minutes ride. We also made the most of our free access to kayaks, stand-up paddle boards and snorkelling gear. The manager, Nick Henry, who also happens to manage the local TV service (and is the grandson of Cook Islands first ever Prime Minister), even made sure I had access to the cricket World Cup Final in our room when, as far as I know, it wasn't actually being publicly broadcast. Pretty much sums up Tamanu... nothing is too much trouble. Nick also hosts "Manager's Cocktail Hour" on Wednesday nights (first drink free for guests) and goes out of his way to introduce himself to, and chat with, everybody. We would definitely stay there again...very highly recommended 👍

Omg I stay at other place and only come to Tamanu for massage with amazing Viri! What an incredible lady. She shared with me island stories as well as her own. I been given beautiful full body massage. She is firm and strong as well as delicate. Perfect balance on soft bed with lovely music. Very very relaxing! Highly recommended Viri in a Day Spa! At the moment there is Xmas special $59 for one hour full body.

Our stay at Tamanu Beach Resort in Aitutaki was absolutely amazing! As a family of four with two young kids, we were looking for a place that felt relaxing but also had enough to keep everyone happy—and Tamanu nailed it. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by its beauty. The bungalow was spacious for us 4 and just a few steps from the beach, so we could go from our room to the water in seconds. The staff was wonderful and always smiling. Eating at the beachside restaurant was one of our favorite parts. The food was fresh and delicious, and there were plenty of options for the kids too. We spent a lot of time snorkeling and relaxing— The kids had a blast, and the whole vibe of the resort made it easy for us to unwind and just enjoy being together especially with the help of Viri our nanny, she was amazing with our kids - thank you! Tamanu Beach Resort is truly a slice of paradise. We had the best time, and we’re already talking about coming back soon. It’s the perfect place for families looking for a relaxing, beautiful getaway! Special thanks to Nick and Diane for welcoming me and my family back on Aitutaki!
