What you’ll love…

The Tour - Centuries of history await…

Step back in time to an ancient land of legendary civilisations and crusader castles as you embark on a seven-day journey of Jordan’s fascinating history.

Set out for an unforgettable experience beginning in the ancient capital of Amman whose history goes back a millennium, before traversing the desert to the Dead Sea area.

Experience the magnificence, majesty and magic of the Dead Sea’s buoyancy. Famed around the world for its saline water and mud rich in minerals, salts and healing properties, experience the weightlessness of its depths with a soak in its therapeutic, fabled waters. As you enjoy a relaxing float, take views of soaring mountains to one side and the rolling hills of Jerusalem to the other.

Explore a mysterious Byzantine cave church, the striking Castle of the Slave and the Women’s Cooperative Society at Iraq Al-Amir, where you’ll gain insight into the local women’s plights.

Discover the baptism site at Bethany, an excavated site believed to be the biblical 'Bethany-beyond-the-Jordan' where John baptised Jesus Christ and the prophet Elijah ascended to heaven via a chariot of fire. Several churches, caves and pools dating from Roman and Byzantine periods have been discovered here and both Pope John Paul II, and Pope Benedict XVI have visited.

Enjoy a free day in the great ancient city of Petra, half-hidden by the sands of time and one of the world’s most treasured UNESCO World Heritage-listed sites.

Venture to the 12th-century Kerak Castle, one of the largest in the Levant region and designed by the king of Israel according to Biblical tradition. Explore the mosaic city of Madaba, where a sixth-century Byzantine mosaic map of the ancient Holy Land is inlaid into the floor of Saint George’s Church and stand stop Mount Nebo, where Moses was said to have seen the Promised Land.

On your final full day in Jordan, discover Amman’s hubbub of mosques, souqs and coffeehouses at your leisure. The Roman Amphitheatre and view from Jabal Al Weibdeh at sunrise are not be missed.
