Perth Mint’s Rich History

The Perth Mint, established in 1899, is one of the oldest mints operating today in Australia. It started as a branch of Britain’s Royal Mint during the gold rush era to refine gold into coins for the British Empire. Over the years, it quickly became known for making top-quality gold sovereigns and half-sovereigns. The mint played an important role in turning raw gold into legal money, which helped boost trade and business in Australia.

Today, the Perth Mint is famous for its top-notch bullion coins and collector items. They have everything from gold and silver to platinum, drawing investors and collectors from all over the globe with their online bullion trading.
