Experience a day of indulgence on a food and wine adventure that bottles up the best of the Central Otago region. Get whisked away with your experienced wine guide to three fabulous wine hotspots: Gibbston, Bannockburn, and Cromwell. Adults can wander New Zealand’s largest underground wine cave on a guided tour, then guests will savour a uniquely prepared lunch – five mouthwatering dishes cooked in retired oak barrels, matched with five wines!

  • Bookings valid to 30 September 2025
  • Pick-Up/Drop-Off Point: Return CBD hotel transfers from selected central Queenstown or Arrowtown hotels are available. Please advise of accommodation location at time of booking
  • Central Queenstown Pick-up Point: The meeting point will be outside the Station Building, located at the corner of Shotover and Camp Street
  • Please ensure you are at your pick-up location no later than the scheduled departure time. Late arrivals and no-shows voids offer

Important:

  • Please allow up to 6.5 hours for this experience, including travel time
  • Exact pick-up times will be provided upon booking
  • Food and drinks not stated above are not included in this tour. Any excess amount must be paid directly to vendors
  • Children must be aged 6–17 to attend this experience and be under the supervision of a paying parent or adult guardian at all times
  • Cave Tour: Children under the age of 16 cannot attend the Gibbston Valley cave tour and must wait with the guide in the cellar door

Terms & Conditions:

  • Minimum two adults required for tour to run
  • Maximum group size per tour is 12 guests
  • Must be aged 18+ for alcohol consumption and provide valid ID upon request
  • Itinerary is subject to change depending on availability, weather and road conditions
  • Appellation Wine Tours cannot be held accountable for any tour cancellations or changes caused by weather conditions, road hazards, vehicle malfunctions, or other unexpected circumstances that may impede the scheduled tour. Appellation Wine Tours retains the right to cancel or alter any trip due to uncontrollable factors, including but not limited to weather conditions, mechanical issues, as well as limited or unavailable parking on-site

Cancellations:

  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours before tour departure date: Bookings will be refunded less a penalty from NZ$10 (per transaction)
  • Cancellations within 48 hours of tour departure date, late arrivals and no-shows: 100% cancellation fee applies

Changes to Booking:

  • 48 hours’ notice is required to change a booking you have made. Bookings cannot be rescheduled within 48 hours of tour departure date
  • Changes must be made by calling +643 442 6920 from 8am–8pm NZST time or emailed to bookings@appellationwinetours.nz
