• Cancellations made more than 14 days before tour departure date: full refund available
• Cancellations within 14 days of tour departure date, late arrivals and no-shows: no refund available
• Should Adrift Tongariro have to cancel your tour for any reason, an alternative route will be suggested or a postponement offered. Should the postponement date not eventuate, a full refund will be available

Changes to Booking:

14 days’ notice is required to change a booking you have made

• Available every day: Departs 8am; returns 5.30pm (approximately)

• Please check-in at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure time. Late arrivals and no-shows voids offer

Important:

• A reasonably good level of fitness is required for this tour. If you are concerned about your fitness, please let your guide know before commencing the walk, as there are options the vendor can discuss with you
• Walking time is about 7–8 hours including rest stops and a 15-minute lunch stop. The walking pace is about 3km/hour which is achievable for most people. No alpine experience is required.
• Adrift Tongariro has personal equipment, footwear and clothing for hire should you require. Any excess amount must be paid directly to the vendor
• Free parking is available outside the Adrift Tongariro Base, where your tour begins
• Lunch is not included in this tour but is available as a separate booked item by contacting the vendor directly. There are two options available: standard or vegetarian. Any other dietary requirements are not able to be catered for so clients must bring their own lunch. Any excess amount must be paid directly to the Adrift Tongariro
• Children aged under 12 may be permitted to participate in this tour. Please contact Adrift Tongariro directly to discuss options

Terms & Conditions:

• Tours require a minimum of two people to go ahead. Single-person bookings should call Adrift Tongariro at least three days prior to trip date to establish if minimum numbers have been met
• If a tour is cancelled for any reason then, Adrift Tongariro will suggest either an alternate route where the client will get to see similar terrain as they would on the tour booked without the same exposure to the weather, or we will postpone your booking for up to 12 months from the original tour commencement date, providing Adrift Tongariro can place you into an existing tour
• In any adventure activity, there is an element of risk involved. The staff and management of Adrift Tongariro take all practical steps to identify and minimise potential danger. However, you must follow our instructions and use the safety equipment provided at all times. Adults accompanying any person under the age of 18 must ensure that the underage person follows our instructions at all times
• New Zealand weather is extremely changeable and thus impossible to forecast accurately. Adrift Tongariro has the right to cancel an adventure should they consider the weather to cause too high a risk
