• Flights generally meet 60–120 minutes before the time of sunrise on the day. Balloon Aloft will be in contact to confirm departure time directly

Important:

• Check-in time varies based on the time of sunrise and fluctuates depending on the time of year
• Hot air balloon rides are shared, meaning you will likely share your ride with other guests. The hot air balloon baskets accommodate as little as 2–4 passengers, all the way up to 24 guests at a time. Ample space is available in the baskets to accommodate group sizes comfortably
• At the time of booking the weight of each passenger is collected to ensure proper weights and balances of the hot air balloon. This information helps allocate the appropriate amount of passengers per balloon for everyone’s comfort while ensuring passenger safety
• Flight time is approximately 45–60 minutes
• Special dietary requirements can be catered to with advanced notice
• Tickets may be rescheduled in the event of cancellation due to poor weather conditions but no refund is applicable
• Tickets valid to reschedule for 12 months

Terms & Conditions:

• All guests must be aged 13+ to participate in this experience
• Must be aged 18+ for alcohol consumption and provide valid ID upon request
• The pilot may terminate a flight at any time if they determine, in their absolute discretion, that there is, or there is reasonably likely to be: (a) an adverse change in the weather conditions; (b) an onboard emergency; (c) a risk of material damage to the balloon or any other property; (d) any other circumstance presenting a risk to the safety of passengers, Balloon Aloft personnel or any other person
• A weight calculation needs to be performed for your flight as all balloons have a maximum lift capacity. You are required to provide your accurate weight you are ensuring that your balloon is weight-loaded correctly
• Fitness to Fly Terms: Hot Air Ballooning requires some active participation from passengers and, as such, a minimum level of fitness and well-being is required. All guests must adhere to the below requirements:
  • Maximum individual weight limit of 140kg per person applies for all passengers
  • Minimum height of 120cm applies for all passengers
  • No pregnancies at the time of flight
  • No broken bones, recent surgery or significant knee, hip, back or neck injuries or issues at the time of flight
  • Passengers must not have had surgeries or broken bones within the past three months or be under a doctor’s supervision regarding surgery or injury, regardless of when surgery or injury occurred
  • Passengers must be able to stand for the duration of the flight (approximately 60 minutes)
  • Passengers should be able to jump off the second step of a ladder and absorb a small bump when the balloon is landing
  • Passengers must be in good general health

• A signed waiver of liability is required for all guests flying and/or riding in our vehicles
• Flights are subject minimum passenger numbers, weather and flying conditions and may be altered or cancelled at the discretion of Balloon Aloft
• Balloon Aloft is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings, injuries, or damages sustained from participation in hot air balloon tours or tethered hot air balloon rides
• If a passenger is 15 or more minutes late to check-in for their hot air balloon tour, Balloon Aloft has the right to cancel the passenger(s) hot air balloon tour and no refund applies

Cancellation:

• This experience is non-refundable once booked

Changes to Bookings:

• 7 days’ notice is required to change a booking you have made
